@kensavage it's only present for the customizer UI, but we'll have one for the front end too! A lot of people enjoying dark interfaces these days.
New Blocksy user. I have used more WP themes than I care to remember. I doubt Blocksy will be the last theme I ever use, but it is now my go to theme for several reasons. First, good schema markup - out of the box,. Second, there are some tweaks to make a website faster - locally load Google fonts etc. Third, there are some serious conditional content options - still learning this area. I like the idea of "context aware" page" and this seems easier to do now. Fourth, there are some styling options for custom post types . Fifth, as WP moves to full site editing I think Blocksy is going to be a great bridge, and hopefully one of the best full site editing experiences in the future.

You won’t regret it
i like this theme a lot. The free version is the most generous available in the WordPress repo with actually great useful features. If you compare it with the currently most popular (hyped) WordPress themes, it gets a lot more to offer. Plus, its well coded and doesn't include useless bloat (afaik).
Best part, it integrates with Gutenberg very well. 😊

Having worked with plenty of other great themes in the past, I was amazed how Blocksy managed to make working with a theme smoother and an overall more enjoyable experience.
Blocksy is a wonderful foundation and theme to build your website or blog on. The customisation is endless, the UI modern & sleek, user friendly and an extremely responsive and helpful developer team behind it.
The free version is really generous in what it offers, but the premium version just adds that extra layer of flexibility. Besides, I also really wanted to support the devs in their hard work. I'm excited about the future of Blocksy!

I've been lucky enough to be around since the first beta versions of Blocksy Free came out, and now also to see the dawn of Blocksy PRO.
Blocksy is one of those themes that once you took it for a spin, there is just no going back. The free version is loaded with typical premium features you'll find in pro versions of other themes.

I bought Blocksy because I want more Gutenberg's style, not Divi, Elementor, etc., builder. I have used Divi for the last 2-3 years, and I want something fast and straightforward to use. After trying Blocksy no way I will go back to Divi.
@stefleur Since WordPress 5.0 (Dec 2018), Gutenberg blocks are getting better and better, the first blocks were terrible. After two years of development, blocks will be the future of WordPress.
I think Divi and Elementor will convert to Gutenberg blocks if they want to stay in the game.
Why blocks (Gutenberg)?
Gutenberg is a page builder too. However, these blocks are super fast and way less bloated than Divi and Elementor. So far, my favorite - Qubely blocks.
Do a simple test.
On the same hosting, build two similar sites using Divi or Elementor and Blocksy Theme and Companion + Qubely. You will see right the way which site is performing better and run GTmetrix for more details.
@stefleur I do like Brizy, and I'm using brizy.cloud for non-CMS websites, like one-page landing page. If the client needs a nice looking, simple website without a database and back end connection brizy.cloud is perfect.

I usually use a CSS editor - Yellow Pencil Pro. Totally unnecessary with Blocksy because everything, i mean absolutely everything is customisable... via Blocksy itself.
All features ( so packed up with them ) are amazing and useful. And customisable, indeed.

On the last decade I probably tried over 50 different themes. And I still can’t believe I would find what I was looking for in a free alternative. I stumbled on Blocksy a few month ago and I’m in love with it since. It is very fast, easy to use and simply a pleasure to navigate both on front and backend.

this wordpress template is really quick to load, and the colors are great and pleasing to the eye. thanks.
An excellent theme that is really easy to work with and joy to use. I have it on many of my websites, including mensgadgets.net for an idea of how it looks.
Unlike many other "great" themes out there, this actually gets the image right in iPad mode, and does not leave a large black space under the image.
They also reply very quickly to questions, and I asked for a video on implementing ads and amazon links and this was also provided.
An excellent response so far, and much quicker than other more common themes out there.
I have gone on the buy the premium version as I am happy to help towards building what could be the best theme on wordpress.
