So what's the deal with an additional subscription for weather data? Do you plan to add a free API option in the future?

@dubstrike We might add more sources in the future. Which free APIs would you like to see in iStat Menus? Currently we’re using Dark Sky and Weather Underground. They offer a brilliant service and high quality data, but we pay per API request for those. That means we don’t have much choice but to charge for usage. @marcedwards Thanks for the reply Marc. I haven't seen that page before. There's the OpenWeatherMap API that could provide a basic forecast overview — that's all I'd really need. I wonder what percentage of iStat users would agree. $1.99 per year is very little for such great data (especially from Dark Sky), so it's not that big of a deal. Just wanted to get your thoughts :)
