BioKeyPer | Digital Legacy Creator — Securest heirloom for your digital legacy & family history

Marcus and I set out in 2017 with a conviction to build a personal cloud device on which to capture our life stories, digital legacies & family histories away from Big Brother's prying eyes, that can be kept within the family & passed on to posterity as a heirloom for our heritages & identity. We were passionately building in stealth until we lost Marcus to a horrible accident. Post-grief, the reality of how hard it is to recover one's digital legacy from third-party data platforms & or social media set in. Especially since none of his electronic gadgets were recovered and no one knew his passwords or all his accounts across the internet (I Am still discovering more of his unknown online accounts up to today - most can never be recovered). A few weeks into all the bureaucracy involved in the discovery & recovery of his digital footprint, Our Aunt, Tete lost most of her savings in a bank account hack. When I researched the licentious connection of breached databases, it showed that compromised users remain at risk of Identity Theft, Blackmail & Defamation attempts for years after. When we (more members joined the team) factored in the magnitude of control afforded "unknown" third parties over personal data & privacy with the estimate that there could be 4.9bn dead accounts by the year 2100 on Facebook alone in mind, we woke up to the realization that personal data is the new oil & no one owns their digital oil deposits. We found it would be difficult to live up to the promise of saving people’s digital legacy for posterity without addressing the mutability, characteristic of Web2, thanks to the storage infrastructure essential to our prized centralized cloud systems that has time and again proved to be unreliably mutable and no match against organized cybercrime. Our eyes turned to blockchain's immutable ledger BUT there were all these; gas problems, steep level of entry due to centralized institutional mining, the need for special hardware & a dangerously unsustainable carbon and e-waste footprint. We are ending all this by building BioKeyPer Digital Legacy Creator, an encrypted personal cloud for securing your digital legacy so loved ones can inherit it while giving you absolute control over personal data and privacy. It natively runs our own embedded lightweight layer one blockchain (YOU Decentralized Privacy [DePri] Protocol - whitepaper in the works), that has been stripped of all unsustainably energy-gobbling proof-of-work or proof-of-stake algorithms, and instead implements our own proof-of-ownership consensus, that only permits one owner per device in a lifetime unless the inheritance contract gets invoked and a designated heir gets assigned ownership.
