Bidhype is a digital marketplace for websites and online businesses. We connect buyers and sellers by providing a platform that is simple to use, powerful and secure.
@ryanheybourn 3 cheers for getting in front of PH with an actual MVP. Any thoughts yet on how to maintain quality/authenticity on the sell side? That may be what weakens Flippa enough for you to take it -- if the fragmented fee structure doesn't do that on its own.
The main page is a bit overwhelming at first but I really think the web needs a successful product with this concept. Why not allow the sell of mobile apps as well?
Really clean! I love it.
I found a bug on the listings page at the bottom right of the sidebar there is a blank square that links to https://bidhype.com/?page=listin...
I'm assuming this is because there is only one listing.
To get initial listings to populate the site maybe do a "free listing weekend" or something similar, so the marketplace doesn't look empty.
Cool site! Thought about doing something like this a while ago. Curious how you deal with the legality of trading assets I.E. registered trademarks, domains, code, etc. Also, how do you verify that sellers actually own what they say they do and aren't just reselling things they bought on Envato or elsewhere?
Marketplaces are tough to launch.
Who comes up with the prices for the sellers?
I've had a hard time in the past buying from devs that have no idea how to appraise their product.
Looks Dope 🚬🚬
Sound interesting idea Ryan.I too faced problem while selling in Flippa.I was searching for an alternative to Flippa but couldn't find one.The only piece of advice to you are please don't include crappy listings unlike Flippa. And allow only limited listsings to have quality business in the platform.
@ryanheybourn true. We are also thinking of using Stripe payment for Teamstack. Best of luck.hope to list some of my side projects soon.. love the domain name too btw 🙌
Looks awesome to me, cool idea.
Spotted a few bugs too. I was able to sign up with a 1 char password, Also the one Dean mentioned, you don't seem to do much validation with the forms, I was able to run JS in the login form. Might want to look into doing friendly URLS, will help a ton with SEO. And one last thing, it looks similar to Sellfy but meh, who cares.
The site has a lot of potential either way. Nice work :)
