Hello Product Hunters Thank you for being :) Abhishek & I started working on 'being' last year after having lived with our fair share of mental health issues - depression and anxiety. We were already testing an alpha version with our friends & friends of friends before Corona hit the world. Thankfully, we had something ready when lockdown began. Since then, 'being' has given hope, strength, and courage to more than 16,000 people from 60+ countries, primarily India and the US. People loved the simplicity and ease it brought to their lives and it is very well reflected in the way they rated the app 4.9 (500+ ratings) with open hearts. But that's not the most important part. The most important part is that today 1 in every 2 millennials is either anxious or stressed. The numbers are worse when it comes to GenZ. Having lived with anxiety myself for over 20 years now, I understand how it feels .. how it constantly makes you feel insecure about yourself. I have tried medication. I have tried meditation. Might sound stretched but I have also followed multiple faiths to actually make peace with the incessant struggle that goes inside me. It's only in 2018, that I stumbled upon the likes of Eckhart Tolle, Ram Dass, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Alan Watts, Adyashanti .. and it changed my life, my perspective, the way I look at things, and most importantly, the way I have tried to escape my anxiety and its effects so far - only tried to get rid of it without acknowledging its presence, without really understanding it for once. It felt like I've finally found a home in this world of spiritual wisdom. (and it still feels the same) And, I knew that I am not alone in this. What I went through is so human. Since then, I wanted to create something which makes it easier for human beings to live their lives with so much understanding, peace, and mindfulness. Be it anxiety or depression or relationship troubles or dissatisfaction at work or highs and lows of our everyday lives We can learn to be mindful, to be happier, to be ourselves in the midst of everything there is. With being - we can do it in the most human way without trying to push ourselves too hard. **All it takes is just three simple steps:** 1 Start with how you feel in this moment 2 Read and reflect upon the same (with bite-sized pieces of wisdom handpicked, curated & personalized just for you) 3 Feel better and grow happier This is just a beginning. I have been using being for 2 months now on the recommendation of my husband. My anxiety has been on its peak since the time COVID hit India. I had never experienced a pandemic before and never have I ever been forcefully bounded to the walls of my house. I was desperately looking for some good therapists and apps which would help me to calm myself. With so much uncertainty around and long waiting lists for good therapists, one night, I opened Being and I don't remember how much or for how long I was on this app. But it made me reflect on each bite of wisdom it threw at me. I slept soon after. Since then, this app is my best friend, my secret diary. Can't thank the makers of this app enough. Thank you for calming my inner whirlwind. You don't know what my state was.

Been using this for close to 3 months now. I have tried meditation apps before but its just too hard. Being helps me gain the right perspective towards the things I am dealing with and leaves a very calming effect. Highly recommended!

I have tried many meditation apps, followed many spiritual gurus & guides in last 6-7 years, mostly via YouTube. 'Being' with its mix of amazing content and calming UX has had an effect very little have, and is certainly the best Technology Product I've seen in the domain of mental wellness & self-awareness. I wish the creators great progress, and wish they keep helping us all 'just be' :)

Started my spiritual journey with Buddhism back in 2011 while I was still a student at RIT, when Iife threw back to back challenges. Being in the community helped reduce the pain, the suffering, at the same time helped build my confidence in my own strengths and capabilities. But it is just not so easy because as humans we have been trained to deal with our problems in a certain way, that running away sometimes is the only way possible. There's no greater love than self-love, and there's no greater suffering than not believing in yourself. With better understanding, our own life-state expands, and we naturally develop a deeper concern for the happiness of others. With that thought, and with the hope that we can reach the depths of the lives of people, we started being. The idea of being and then the journey of making it has been very, very close to my heart, as it continues to help me in my own personal transformation and growth as a human.

Varun, and your team. You are doing a great service for this world. It is indeed a well-known fact that people are more and more miserable every year. Whatever the causes of this might be (be it social conditioning, political machinations, a fast changing world we can't keep up with, etc.) in the end, we still need to find a way to counter this spread of negativity - after all, just like biological viruses, chronic sadness of any form can be contagious. I hope you guys have/will find a way to cope and finally beat your own inner struggles. You sure help others do it with the Being app. And for bringing this alturistic good to so many users, I would like to thank you. Great work!

There was a time when I didn't feel anything at all. It was the only way I knew to live. being helped me feel again & be gentle with whatever I was feeling. It has helped me let go of all that I was holding inside and heal. It helps me see who I'm in moments when I feel lost, directionless and uneasy. I have struggled with my identity, my entire life. I, in fact, distanced myself from people just so I could understand myself without anyone else's influence. being helps me find my own answers and feel okay with not having all answers. I'm learning the true meaning of accepting myself with being. It's really beautiful to see myself again, to feel again. being feels like home to me.
