Hello Product Hunters, Beacon is the most secure way to find family and friends on a map. All location data is end-to-end encrypted. No ads. No data selling. No tracking. We've added family safety features to let family members view each other's location at any time and get notifications when arriving or leaving home. Sharing location with friends is as easy as turning your beacon on. The rise of a new consumer privacy platform is underway, led by companies like Signal, Brave, Telegram, and DuckDuckGo. Our mission is to safeguard the world's location data. Help Us Build We've only just begun and would love for you to help us build the next version of Beacon by providing feedback on new and existing features. If you'd like to participate, please join our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/... How Beacon Works - All location data is end-to-end encrypted - Your phone contacts are your social network. Connections are automatically made as contacts join the platform - Turn your beacon on to temporarily share your location with one or more contacts - Designate a destination when turning your beacon on to share ETA and automatically stop sharing when you arrive How Family Safety Works - Contacts added to your safety panel will be able to view your location at any time - You will be notified whenever your location is viewed - Add your home in the safety panel to send notifications to safety contacts when you arrive or leave Your feedback is welcome and appreciated! 1. Does this work without Google Play Services? 2. Since it’s free for now, will you monetize later? By the way, the Play Store link on your footer doesn’t work.

@anna_0x It currently requires Google Play Services to work. We'll be migrating to Mapbox, which will remove the Google Play Services dependency. Yes, we'll be monetizing later. We have some interesting plans around monetization.
