Hey guys. It's looking good, really. Congrats.
But why is this template for $79-$99 better than @finmark-1 for $25/mo by @ramiessaid that makes financial modeling easier and eliminates the need for complex spreadsheets? Or @pry that makes the same things?
@shashcoffe Hey Alexey, thanks for asking. As always in life there are different approaches. If you like using a SaaS instead of working in Excel that's totally fine and I am sure there are also tons of other valuable templates for Excel or Google Slides out there.
In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves which model he/she likes most. That's why we offer a free download to get a sense of the functionality.
When we were building our model we were thinking of what we would have liked back when raising funds and for us, it was important to have a great design, much flexibility but still an easy-to-use sheet.

The problem is most VCs demand a spreadsheet and refuse a SaaS tool.

In a perfect world, you could (a) build your model in a SaaS tool and (b) export it as a spreadsheet for stubborn VCs.

Financial model templates for startups are usually heavy + complex.
I like this model because it's lightweight, while robust enough for serious investor talks.
If you're a tech founder building your first forecast, I highly recommend it! :D

Dealing with financials for the first time is a gruesome process... Great product and congrats on the launch! I love products that allow founders to focus on building their company rather than spending too much time on fundraising ;)
