Developing a fast and reliable web3 app is hard. Basement makes it faster than ever. Basement's APIs and SDK are the easiest way to fetch, index and understand what's happening on Ethereum. From low-level transactions to NFT Metadata, Basement's got it all.
Hey guys - congrats on the launch. I am curious how you fetch blockchain level data? Do you use Alchemy APIs or did you set up your own node? The data is pretty commoditised so curious how you handled that.
Also what is the differentiation from other blockchain data providers (again like Alchemy API)? Is it indexing or categorising differently?
@mert_deveci1 Great questions, Mert!
We run our own node to get logs, transactions, and traces from the chain into our own network.
After that we do a bunch of transformations, making it ready for our query language and ensuring the highest query speed.
That's where we're different from existing infrastructure. We allow you to write your own queries, and make a request with exactly the data you need. For example, it's totally possible to get an NFT, and all related transaction, and all the ENS profiles of previous owners in one single fast request.
Hope that answers your question!
π Hey Producthunt,
We've been working countless hours to get this release out, and we're so excited to launch today. π
Exactly one year ago, the first lines of code were written for Basement.
We quickly realized that if we want better UX in web3, developers are gonna need better tools. We're launching our first tool today, a GraphQL API allowing you to query what's happening on-chain, inside an address, contract or transaction.
With Basement, data access to web3 is easier and faster than ever. We have indexed billions of datapoints, terabytes of NFTs and millions of transfers, so you don't have to. Today, we're incredible proud to share it with you all.
Developers, I don't wanna hold you up with hype, so here are some useful links to get you started

@shanegraaf@sanne_koemeester Thanks Sanneeeee! And thanks especially for enduring our yelling and stress of starting a startup at the previous office hahaha
