Congrats on the launch, Nathaniel! Really cool idea to pair VR with language learning.

@em_ebert Thanks, Eric! I think there's a lot of potential in VR learning. I find that it really helps me form a memory around what I'm learning. Let me know if you have any questions about Backpack!

Hi Product Hunt! πŸ‘‹ Backpack is my first product. I built it to become a better language learner. While learning Chinese, I often ask my friends for the best way to say something. Textbooks can't always help you speak naturally. Real conversation does. What if you could practice conversations whenever you wanted? πŸ€” After waiting years for someone to build something like this, I decided to go ahead and make it myself! With Backpack, you can practice conversations that you have in everyday life. The next time you go on vacation, order a coffee in a new language, or go to the market and haggle like a local! 😎 Since I wanted this available in as many languages as possible, I reached out to the language learning community. Thanks to all of the Backpack contributors who worked hard to help make this possible. Give Backpack a try and let them teach you their language! I hope you enjoy Backpack! Let me know what you think in the comments πŸ‘‡ or at nathaniel@backpacklanguage.com.

It's like traveling the world from your electronic device. It reminds me of my old times playing around with Google Earth. Love your idea. Cheers, Isaac
