A cutting-edge service to protect your company's codebase copyright:
✔ Connect once, automate forever
✔ Valid in global jurisdictions
✔ Decentralized (Web3)
✔ No public codebase disclosure
✔ 100% evidence of timestamp in court in case of litigation
🛡️ Protect your code before it gets stolen and claimed by someone else!
Software code gets stolen, and it will continue to be stolen. It could be a developer in your company who moved to another and took with them "a bit of their work" (which, by the way, might be around 85%), or it could be industrial espionage.
What to do about it?
- Protect the code rights, preferably from the first line.
But how, when new code versions are released once a month or even once a week? Register copyrights manually for each update?
- It does need to be automated.
And what about different jurisdictions? Do you have to register in each country separately?
- Ideally, you'd want to do it once and everywhere.
👋 Hi, I'm Ilya, founder of Autoproof, a mathematician and programmer from junior to CTO. We are launching Autoproof.dev, a service that automatically protects copyright for your code, stores evidence in the blockchain (currently on Polygon, and we'll integrate many others), and issues certificates that can be presented in court.
All of this happens within a couple of minutes from the moment your developers write the code. And it's much cheaper than paying lawyers.
Three important things:
1. 🤖 Complete automation: Once you connect our tools to your development processes, your code will be automatically protected, and you'll receive certificates by email. It's like a daily backup, but it's the recording of copyright.
2. ⚖️ We don't prevent plagiarism - people will always steal. In legal disputes, we provide 100% evidence of the timestamp of code creation - an irrefutable argument for IT experts (usually, a judge appoints a specialist to determine who wrote a specific piece of code first).
3. 🤐 Non-public code disclosure. We've learned to protect code copyright without revealing the actual content. We don't upload your files to any server; all processing happens locally. Only digital fingerprints of files end up in the blockchain and certificates. This makes our solution suitable for closed ecosystems, like the banking sector, and for those who don't want to store their code somewhere, such as on GitHub.
A big company - save on lawyers who constantly register code; now it can be automated.
A startup - add a slide to your deck that your codebase is protected from the first line.
An investor or accelerator, consider us as perks for your companies; it strengthens your investments.
Join us on this journey to change the old system of copyright protection! 💪

@ostyre thanks for the question. The technology protects any code, whether frontend or backend - it doesn't matter. However, I would recommend prioritizing the protection of code sections that contain complex algorithms, mathematical formulas, or trade secrets - typically implemented on the backend.
@maxpomazuev That's a good point! Autoproof will issue the certificate a few minutes after the first connection. No queues and paperwork, even without leaving home.
@vishalreddy21 Thank you for your interest! Our service can be applied to any digital file in any available format. The only difference is that the files need to be uploaded manually. And automation only works to connect repositories to development.
This is a really great tool you created here. Being able to fingerprint code without disclosing it is a game changer. I don’t have use for it personally but I will be sending some clients your way. Good luck with your launch
