This looks amazing! It's basically what I wish Zapier would have been all along striking the perfect balance between No-Code and Low-Code. Can't wait to use it for some automations! Congrats on all the progress @keithwhor & team!

@keithwhor @_schickling always appreciate the kind words, Johannes! Thank you!

Hey everyone! We started what would become Autocode in 2016 under a different name entirely. After years of hard work, iteration and development we first announced the early alpha of Autocode in February of this year and completely rebranded our company to Autocode on July 7th, 2020. This is our first major Product Hunt launch as an entirely new company and product offering, and we're thrilled to be able to share it with you. Simply put; Autocode is automation with code. You might consider us a low-code tool, but we're all about empowering folks to use and work with code at a pace they never before thought possible. Instead of building workflows and managing steps, Autocode helps β€” and perhaps teaches β€” you to automate by building full backend Apps with code. We provide an in-browser IDE, serverless hosting, API autocomplete, a Standard Library of APIs to easily connect to in a simple format, rollbacks, version control, and a whole lot more. We're very fortunate to have the backing of some really great companies and investors, but what we're most excited about are the customers we've been empowering since we first announced Autocode; retail, e-commerce, factories, home services, cryptocurrency, SaaS. Autocode is really meant to be a tool that teaches and connects as much as it creates value β€” I learned how to code when I was a kid by hacking apart and rebuilding examples β€” and the fact that businesses of such a diverse background are among our earliest adopters is fantastic. We hope you enjoy, and please give a special shoutout to @jacoblee93, @scott_gamble and @yusufmusleh β€” without whom this product would not be possible.

Been using Autocode since alpha -- I really appreciate that all the integrations and their docs are right there in Autocode. No more getting lost in all the dependencies πŸ˜… So excited to see this product officially launch!
@ellen_blaine1 Thanks for the kind words Ellen, that's awesome that you've been with us since alpha!

As a NoCoder, I tend to focus on visual builder tools for automation tasks and I didn't think that Autocode was particularly 'visual' in how you build your workflows/apps until I saw the video above! The Autocomplete and Code Generator puts Autocode on par with other point & click competitors out there but then has all the extra power of being able to see the code and edit it. Great to see Autocode on Product Hunt today - I'll be giving it a go in my NoCode project work in due course.

@theflowagency Thanks Glenn! We’re excited to see what you build :)

Yes! Congrats on 1.0!! You're building the future of software (as I see it). I love having autocode in my arsenal as a developer and product leader.

You know how you get these ideas for a thing you could have a computer do for you if you just tied X to Y and triggered it every time Z? For me, that usually involves spending 80% of my time slinging tokens around and writing webhook boilerplate (or lambda/IAM/etc ceremony!) and 20% of my time -- if I get that far -- writing the logic to actually tell the computer how to help me, including fishing in a pile of docs for different API bindings and so forth. With Autocode you spend 10% of your time writing the core code that implements Your Clever Idea, and 90% of your time really glad that you didn't have to do the other 90% of the work! The API autocomplete makes the world of SAAS platforms feel like one coherent ecosystem, with help filling out those blobs of command JSON and chaining together your handling of responses. Hacking feels good again!
Keith Horwood
@mike_shaver Thanks Mike! Really happy you enjoy the API autocomplete as well -- it's a feature we're really happy with. I don't think I've looked at Slack's API docs in ages and I build Slack apps all the time now. :)
