We spent the last year completely rebuilding Authorea. The new editor is a git-based document editor for researchers that allows researchers to collaborate across LaTeX, Markdown, and rich text, to directly submit to a growing list of journals, to host data within an article, and to issue a DOI. We're interested in moving the research community away from static PDFs to dynamic, data-rich articles. We'd love to have researchers/student feedback on Authorea beta!
