I esp love designer's sense of humor "Atlassian open company? Sounds bullshit!"

This is impressive and comprehensive. It does feel a bit like they started with Material, but I think that's a sound decision as well. Heck, as a developer I start with Frameworks to avoid rebuilding basic infrastructure. Nicely done, and I too am looking forward to using the redesigned products.

Looking forward to this launch to unifying the brand and products more, and seeing some great UX/UI improvements to JIRA especially! (desktop site)

Pros:

Well thought out, expansive, flexible and powerful. And best of all, finally LOOKS wonderful

Can be overly complex, but that's their constant challenge

I like what they did, but I find the "A" fairly generic. I'm a huge fan of their previous "Atlas" logo. I love the boldness, the simplicity. And I love the consistency across (some) of their products, with the presence of Atlas tying each back to their brand. I miss the old consistency. A question I wonder -- Yes, the product logos are now consistent with the brand, across the entire line. But I think that each, looked at individually, is not memorable; each lacks individuality and will likely result in poor consumer recognition. When you take away their names, it becomes difficult to tell which one each represents (with a few exceptions, e.g. Trello and Hipchat whose logos have changed the least). Is this acceptable for a B2B product where consumer recognition isn't as important? Without the names, can you tell which is which? They are all so generic...

They even reset their JIRA mobile app version to 1.0! 😮 Love the way the site is layed out. Just wish the components were live components, and didn't have to go the API page

If there's one thing I associate Atlassian / Jira with, it's definitely straightforward and beautiful experiences...

I'm looking forward to a deep redesign of JIRA. It's the tool I use the most and now it's very cumbersome. As a customer I'm very happy of the path they are taking.

It's fair to say that a lot of designers have a dislike (or probably a fear!) of going anywhere near tools like Jira or Confluence - while everyone else in a product team will be using them.

But as an organisation it's clear that Atlassian have recognised this, and are making steps in the right direction to create better designed products. Their software is super complex so it will be a difficult task to simplify and redesign the UI across the board, but when they get there I think they might just earn some credibility with designers along the way.

Pros:

It's great to see that a company like Atlassian are starting to see the importance of design and making steps in the right direction.

Cons:

It would have been nice to see more reference to 'jobs to be done' rather than personas, which feel a bit stuffy.

Would be really thankful if Jira gets a complete redesign. Every time I look at it, I have to learn the UI from the start :(

They did a pretty bad job.

Personally, I love changes, but that is a really really bad one...

Really impressive that enterprise focused company with wide spectrum of products like Atlassian is able to introduce so clean and consistent design to it's products portfolio.

Whoever made it had no idea about user experience; I couldn't even upload pictures to a board; it kept timing out... Clunky and I hate it.... Spent 2 hours of my time trying to make things work but couldn't do anything on it.... Also, branding is really confusing..... Is it Atlassian or Jira??? The branding is as confusing as the interface.... They need some serious UX help before they should go to market

I like the new logotype and the new image that you are creating. It's fresh, modern, clear.

Cons:

It's a strong change that can cause some upset people.

Atlassian is on a roll, can't wait for Stride to come out!

Looks really great. Love Atlassian <3. Follows some recent design trends but can easily be flexible.
