A great product for beginner savers or experienced folks looking to the future. Something useful to anyone who want to improve how they budget, but also just generally good for creating a culture of healthy personal finance.
This solves a real pain point for me and so many people I know. It's far more useful than Mint or even other micro-savings features because it actually does the most important part: keeps my savings organized around my goals and what I care about.
This could be really interesting. For someone new to personal finance, it helps create healthy habits about saving before buying the products they want instead of using credit and getting into that awful debt cycle. For someone a bit farther along (like myself), it can help me organize my savings goals for the future without maintaining separate accounts or tracking sheets.

Astra makes it so easy for me to to move my money to the right place, automatically. And I always know where I'm at with all my accounts in one place. I no longer have to log in to each account separately.
Pros:So easy to use and so powerful!

We built this app because so many of us are living paycheck to paycheck and trying to do more with our money while still paying the bills. Creating a budget and managing every dollar can be tedious and overwhelming. Who wants to deal with complicated spreadsheets or check their bank accounts every day?
Astra is designed to make it super easy to automate your savings and see where your money is going at a glance. Our new iOS app helps you automatically put funds aside for your savings goals—anything from starting a rainy day fund to paying off student loan debt to going on vacation. All you have to do is connect your bank accounts, input your goals, and create the rules to fund them. Then sit back and let Astra get to work!
Our mission? Make it easier than ever to manage your money, so you can achieve your financial goals and don’t have to deal with the stress of living one paycheck at a time.

Unfortunately, our banking systems and regulations are vastly different from one country to the next. Taking Astra international will take some time, but we’re excited to expand to countries outside of the US, especially 🇨🇦. In the meantime, we’ll be working hard to make the app the best it can be for the US market before i18n.
This is a really cool product. It's great because I spend less time worrying and stressing about my finances; everything is automated. Gotta move money to my savings? Nope, Astra's done it already. Need to pay an account once a month? Oh, look, Astra is taking care of it. I also love the goals and need them to ensure I can make it to Greece next summer. Astra for the astronomical savings.
Pros:An amazing product that replaces the bad mint app I gave up on because it has too many ads.
Cons:I don't have any yet!

Pretty slick! I had a similar idea last fall but it looks like you have executed on it much better than we did. Can't wait for the Android version :)

We focused on iOS first because the majority of our early adopters were using Apple devices and because we wanted to get it right on one platform first. An Android version is a high priority for us, and we’re already working on it. 🤖

@bitrewards Thanks! Security is definitely a big priority for us at Astra. We use robust measures to keep your data safe - for instance, we never store your online banking credentials (thanks to Plaid!) and we use identity verification when you sign up. And we never share or sell your data to 3rd parties, ever!
Astra is simple and easy to use. Would recommend it to anyone.
Pros:Total ease of use, right from the start.
Bank interaction was seamless.
Great way to set goals and achieve them.
Cons:Would like to see setup of all accounts before deciding on goal of what to save for.
Pros: One centralized place to create, manage and see all my recurring transfers! More visibility = more peace of mind, for me. Way better experience for me than going through the different banks' interfaces
Cons: Product-wise none so far, although on onboarding it'd be great to be able to sync my accounts first, before having to create a transfer.
@suneel_chakravorty Thanks for the feedback, especially regarding the onboarding sequence! We will work on making that more flexible so you have more options when you first start using the app.
@andy_payne Thanks! We really worked hard to make the process of setting up a bank transfer painless. Depending on your bank this may take a dozen or so steps on their website. With Astra, we want it to be simple and straightforward so you can move your money as you wish!
