Love your website, guys 💛
Dragos Bulugean
@adinajipa Thank you Adina!! We hope you enjoy our UX!
Alex Circei

I really like that it is a new way to store our documentation for free, on our url. As a startup it is very hard to pay an expensive documentation service.

Pros:

I really like the UX and because it is free to store my documentation on my url.

Cons:

none

Vlad Larin

Easy to use, very user friendly and does exactly what it is supposed to!

Pros:

Great design, built with a right understanding of what's necessary in the doc organization process.

Cons:

None so far!

Petre Sosa
The diagrams widget looks really nice! Is this open source somewhere like Swagger and GraphQL?
Dragos Bulugean
@pe3sos hey Petre, great question! The diagram widget is not open source yet. We do plan to make the whole product open-core, sometime in the future. Let me know if you liked the user experience!
Alex Neamtu

It really feels like it’s a product created by devs for devs.

Pros:

I love the design, user experience and the fresh new take on diagram editing. Nice touch with graphql embedding.

Cons:

None.

Dmitri Kyle Brereton
Lack of documentation is always the most annoying thing when starting a new job. Hope companies start using this!
Dragos Bulugean
@dkb868 this is one of the big reasons we've built this 🚀. Thank you for appreciating it!
Dragos Bulugean
@dkb868 And let us know here or on our Intercom how you did you find the product after trying it :)
Sam Quinn

I really love the diagram widget is the perfect replacement for the old flow of making a diagram in drawio export it, then upload an image, then realize you need to edit it >(

Pros:

You can embebed a Swagger or GraphQL API The widget to make diagrams is super fast!

Cons:

none

I think there aren't services around that focus specifically on how engineers would like to see and interact with documentation and it looks like Archbee is focusing on that which should make some lives easier.

Pros:

- dynamic diagram - linking the diagram elements to their prospective configurations/files,

Cons:

None

Dragos Bulugean
@hondrari_andrei_george Thank you. Hope you use it with your team. Let me know if I can help onboarding :)

Hey ProductHunt community! Thank you for hunting us, @noaheverett ! We’ve built Archbee, the documentation app for engineers. What does it do? Knowledge base for your team: - A powerful editor with classical text and special widgets like diagrams, Swagger, GraphQL, code editor, changelogs and more coming; - Your team’s content is organized in spaces with document trees and are deep searchable; - Modern UX, everything syncs in realtime; - Integrated to Slack for modern team workflows; A very special thanks to developer friends who we’ve been bugging the last few months, and the first 20 teams of our private beta, you rock! ❤️ Also @alex_circei , thank you for helping us make this happen! Have a question about Archbee? Drop it in the comments section, we’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, ideas, suggestions or anything else!

@sebastian_maraloiu thank you Sebastian! Let us know how was the user experience!
Alex Circei
@noaheverett @dragosbulugean Congrats for the launch! The product looks awesome! I remember you told me the story regarding the "Archbee" name, can you share it with the community? I think it is a pretty nice story.
Dragos Bulugean
@alex_circei Hahaha. I launched Archbee v1 last year as a software architecture diagramming solution (where arch comes from) and the UI had hexagons on the background (hexagonal bee hive) instead of the common square dots , so Archbee :D
Dragos Bulugean
@alex_circei @noaheverett Thank you Noah!
George Cherata
What is the difference between this and Confluence?
Dragos Bulugean
@cherata_george Great question! Confluence is a great product, and we are a great alternative :). That said, we believe we def have a better product that solves the same problem and another one (product docs) within the same great ONE user experience. We are realtime, and have special widgets for engineers, which seem to be the big target of Confluence :)
Ali van Dorp
interface Looks great. Not in your target I guess, but good luck!
Dragos Bulugean
@ali_van_dorp much appreciated!
Jonathan Holden
I need a simple wiki that is clean, accessible and has a sensible pricing structure. Archbee is it.
Oana Smeureanu
Are you guys VC funded?
Dragos Bulugean
@oana_smeureanu haha, no. we are bootstrapped, but we plan to take on a seed round soon. but I'm glad somebody would think this is VC funded :)
Tanase Oana
any plans to generate some docs based on the git projects? like some diagrams or the release history
Dragos Bulugean
@tanase_oana yes, we have this in the backlog: make a persistence backend that stores into git rather than into our current database. we will build it as soon as a customer has a real use case and asks us for it :)
Tanase Oana

I like that all the docs are in one place, maybe some more integrations with some existing tools will ease the migration to Archbee

Pros:

Very easy to use, great UX

Cons:

i would like some more integrations with the source code

Dan Bite-Toma

A magnificent product. It greatly facilitates the development of products both from the perspective of the product owner and the developers.

Pros:

Great idea, great concept, great product

Cons:

More integrations with different development tools

Sumit Sahoo

Excellent

Pros:

The best documentation app i've ever seen. I will 100% recommend Archbee to all the engineers out there!

Cons:

None

Iulian Popescu
Thank you, Sumit :) It means a lot for us.
Radu P.
I've been using Archbee since the first iterations. If I need a sharp looking schematic, I can easily draft one with very little effort. The UI is fast and intuitive. I can share my designs with the development teams. I would love to see collaboration points and export controls on future iterations. One question though... is this product docs feature you mention like GitBook?
Dragos Bulugean
@radu_p_ Radu, yes, it is like Gitbook, released last week :) will be happy to take you through it personally :)
Raj Siva-Rajah
Awesome product. I've been looking for something like this for my dev team for a while now. Having regular docs, API docs, diagrams, code snippets etc. all in one place is very powerful. The role based access controls and public / private spaces are great too.
