Web2Desk Business helps Businesses with Desktop Apps for their WebApps in one click. Desktop Apps made using Web2Desk Business is supported for Mac, Linux and Windows and comes with Installer and Auto updates.
@gijo_varghese Thanks
There are couple of options for offline support. One is using service workers. If your web app uses service worker for offline support this works the same way. Another option is preloading the files into the app. This is best for products does't need to communicate to server for getting or saving data back to server for a period of time. eg:- Notion, Figma etc.
In one word it depends on the web application.
Thanks for checking out and hope this helps
Hey Product Hunt! π
We're super excited to introduce Web2Desk Business.
Now Businesses and Startups can easily convert existing WebApps into Desktop apps that are compatible with Mac, Linux and Windows. And the best part is you only need to optimise your WebApp just for Chromium.

8 months ago, we launched Web2Desk on Product Hunt (https://www.producthunt.com/post...), which became the product of week. Started out as Weekend project, Web2Desk got us featured on LifeHacker, Windows Club, Asana Training and many out there. Our users have created over 25,000 desktop apps till today and continue to grow daily.
We found many of our users were startups and entrepreneurs creating Desktop apps for their products, of which most often required installer and support from our end. Web2Desk being a free product had its own limitations.
Thus Web2Desk for Business was born. Now businesses can look no further to create Desktop Apps along with Installers for their Webapps thatβs supported on Mac, Linux and Windows.

Thanks for checking us out.
Here are a few of reasons our customers thanked us with:
More "Active" users: Desktop app is just a Alt-tab away, unlike scenario where you have tons of tabs open in browser
Plus having app click away from Desktop is an added advantage.
Brand and Native looks: Customers of SaaS Products with downloadable Desktop app convey a solid message and boosts trust.
That being said, we use Desktop Apps made using Web2Desk daily and for personal use:)

Thank you for making such a service. Especially good is that it makes apps available offline. Would you be willing to allow this service to use a different platform than Electron (only for the OS that meets the requirements)? For example, I've heard that platforms like https://deskgap.com/, https://github.com/pojala/electrino are not as resource-intensive as Electron.
@sungho Glad you liked the product.
For sure this is something our app engine can build. As of now we only support Electron. Let me know if you have any more feedback/suggestions
There are some questions.
1) There are matching appearances for each OS. Is the appearance of the desktop app generated with this service different for different OS?
2) How much can I customize desktop app in this service? Can the function of Electron be used? For example, can I turn on or off the option to run only one instance at a time?
3) I heard that the desktop app created with Electron cannot hide the source code. Is the app generated with this service the same?
@sungho
1). Can you tell which appearances you meant ?
2). Yes you can use all electron functions
3). Because we use electron. It works same as electron but we can package to asar file

I was surprised to know how easy it is to make a desktop app for my web product.
Pros:Simple steps and flexible customisations are π₯
Cons:Nothing that i can think of.
