Hey Product Hunters! The LaunchKit team built this new tool because we wanted a simple way to get iTunes Connect sales data into the place our team communicated all the time: Slack.
After a simple setup, the tool starts posting sales data into Slack daily. The posts are color coded depending on how the app is trending, and include both yesterday’s sales info as well as comparisons for the previous day and previous week.
While we were at it, we decided to rethink Sales Report emails and make them a bit easier to parse. The emails we had gotten in the past looked terrible on a mobile device and contained a lot of unnecessary info. So we made it look nicer.
This is a simple, free tool. We’d love your feedback and hope you find it useful. I’ll be here all day answering questions!
Also, remember this is a Product Hunt beta launch. Please report any bugs here.
Digging this. Process was smooth, here's what I noticed along the way:
* created the new reporting app store account and it flashed the warning about needing 30 minutes. waited, worked. appreciate the extra info on the random Apple API error.
* on the choose slack channel step, decided I wanted a new channel so chose to do it later and realized I couldn’t naturally get back to that spot. I added a channel in slack, and backed up in the browser then re-clicked “connect with slack” and it showed. All worked perfect from there. Would be helpful to add a refresh button on that page for cases like mine so one doesn't need to navigate away.
Emails and Slack report look lovely, nice work!
@noinput thanks Jim. Yeah the iTunes Connect waiting this is a pain. More friction than we'd like but not much we can do for this integration.
i want to add a way to create a new channel from our flow although I think we need to ask for additional permissions. What was the new channel name? (just curious)
I went for 'app-downloads' since we had one on that channel already for sales, but it fits nicely next to the one I have for Review Monitor named 'app-feedback'
This looks great, I'd been asking for something like this from other providers but so far haven't really got anything comprehensive. Will definitely give this a shot.
I'd love to be able to specify *which* apps to post, getting a summary of all of them is nice, but being able to send specific reports for specific apps to specific destinations would be super useful.
First we used Screenshot Builder for our app (Canvas Keyboard). Later we started using App Review Monitor, and now Sales Reporter. All works great and surprisingly for free. Congrats to the team for contributing to such a useful product family.
@pud Thanks! to get the sales data, we do need the iTunes login info, but we recommend creating a read-only iTunes account. We posted instructions on how to do that here: https://medium.com/launch-kit/ho...
We do💰Sales & Downloads reports monitor for Slack in AppFollow.
It supports both App Store & Google Play. Now, you can receive all your sales data directly to Slack so it can be shared with whole team. Please check it out: http://appfollow.io/sales-report
