Hello @angeloe,
the biggest difference is in the way we want to go forward. Our goal is to reward uninterrupted deep work more so than amount of working hours. The underlying idea is that people are more productive when they have quality time off for recharging and work with intense focus. This will be our major differentiation to other existing products on the market.
Context switching, especially within distracting activities, will be penalized. However, longer sessions of distracting activities, that are likely to be a time to recharge, would upgrade the productivity percentage to eliminate stress, burn out and improve long-term output. We'll reward you if you do deep work and we'll reward you if you take some time off.
The practice of uninterrupted focus mode will be one of the cornerstones around our app. In the future, we're going to add more gamification features around the currently existing focus mode.
The current minimal version that we launch, starts off being quite similar to RescueTime with differences mainly in the UI and responsiveness, as well as a slightly different activity categorization concept.
