Hi Hunters, nice to finally meet you guys! I'm Chris from Antetype's Marketing. We believe that design should make the world a better place. And we want to help you do that, even if your project or app is more complex than a flappy bird clone. To reach that goal, Antetype helps you with 5 key features: • Layouts are truly responsive and fit your content automatically, according to your rules. You can even use breakpoints for different screen sizes. • Widgets automatically sync changes to every element of the same type. So you don't have to do it manually. (Of course you can keep some properties and content individual!) • Interactions and animations can be as micro or as powerful as you need them – and you won't need to build and link 100 art boards for that. It's all done on the same screen. • Editable and working text input. Finally use input fields to really test live user behavior – don't be satisfied by pre-defined texts you hard code into the prototype. • Plus, Antetype generates pure HTML + CSS + JavaScript prototypes. It's 100 % open web technology. Yes, that also means you can extend it to render 3D models or animated graphs. Build literally anything you can imagine! It's our goal to help designers around the world create great user experiences. And as good designers listen, we would love to hear your opinion on it! (And I'd love to see the prototypes you build 😁) Let me know what you think, Chris

Tried Antetype a couple of hours and I think it has the best „Auto-Layout“ on the market. The whole app is built around the layouting functionality and it works like a charm. Furthermore it allows to build real high fidelity prototypes. You are able to manipulate objects by interacting with other objects, not just screen changes like in most other apps. Its's very easy to export a fully funtional HTML export that works in every browser. Great work guys.
Chris Günther
@lurch9000 Wow, thanks for the enthusiastic words! Glad you like it! That's the reason we're building it: To really help designers build prototypes more easily.
Chris Günther
@lurch9000 @alex_vasylenko I always loved the idea of someone hacking Antetype prototypes onto their smart fridge's display. So if you ever do, please please let me know! 😁
Sven Fackert
I have already worked with previous versions of Antetype and always loved it. As a developer I especially like the layout system. Good luck with the new launch!
Chris Günther
@sven_fackert Thanks for the kind words, Sven! Glad you like working with it!

@sven_fackert Interesting to know how you work with it as a developer. Are you using the code from a prototype in real applications? If yes that's huge 👍
Sven Fackert
@alinama If the prototype is built well with responsive layouts, you may directly re-use parts of the code that is automatically generated by Antetype. I have done that for smaller components in a few projects yet. If that's not possible, the export view also includes an inspector to get all the info on each element, which I always use to implement the component as specified.

Antetype is not perfect, but after working with multiple different tools I can say it has unique strengths: It is extremely easy to create highly structured UIs, perfect for the design of productivity tools and responsive applications that need to display complex interactions and data across multiple screen sizes - all within one coherent click-prototype.
Chris Günther
@jan_schlegel Thanks for the in-depth comment and kind words! Glad you like it 😊
Chris Günther
@jan_schlegel @alex_vasylenko Name any feature, will be done & released within 2 hours! 😄
Alex Weichart
Looks like a very interesting tool, I will definitely check it out in more detail later today. PS: The space station demo doesn't work correctly in Firefox...
Chris Günther
@alex_w2 Great to hear, I'm looking forward to your feedback! 😊 Thanks for the info, we'll take a look at it
Chris Günther
@alex_w2 Hey Alex, we looked into it: We're using backdrop-blur to style some elements. Yet, one needs to activate this in Firefox manually. If you want to try this, take a look here: "From version 70: this feature is behind thelayout.css.backdrop-filter.enabled preferences (needs to be set to true) and the gfx.webrender.all preferences (needs to be set to true). To change preferences in Firefox, visit about:config."
Chris Günther
@alex_w2 Does it work nicely for you now? Happy we could help!
Chris Günther
@alex_w2 Hm, sorry! That seems weird, we'll dig deeper into it then
Chris Günther
@alex_w2 Quick info: Firefox deactivated all backdrop-filters to fix it up. Thanks for notifying us about that bug 😊 (Source: "It was intentionally temporary disabled in bug 1741779. It will get re-enabled in bug 1749625." See last comment here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/sho...)

Viel Erfolg👏🥳

I work with Antetype for five years. Since then it made some decent steps towards a grown-up prototyping tool. Nowadays it serves me well on certain projects. Whenever I need to prototype for web, Antetype is my favorite choice due to the excellent layouting capabilities and the flexibility to use custom CSS/JS/HTML. I also really like the new cloud features as this will speed up my workflow. No more need to put a zipped webexport to Confluence. I also heavily work with Protopie, which ticks some more boxes for me on mobile projects. Making use of the phone camera, gyroscope etc allows here an even higher degree of fidelity. For exploring and creating design ideas I will stick to canvas based tools such as Sketch. But this is of course personal preference ;-) Wish you all the best for the future and I'm eager to see what's coming next.
Chris Günther
@florian8 Thanks for this really detailed view into your workflow! Some cool things happening soon, I'll love your feedback on those as soon as they are ready!
Maria
Truly amazing project! Congratulations on the launch! ^_^ I am so happy that there are teams which are spreading the word of importance of design, and that are allowing the whole process goes smoother and more appealing even to people who are not in the design sphere.. Big bravo! ^_^
Chris Günther
@maria_brm Thank you so much for the nice words. Appreciate it! Let's get good design out into the whole world, shall we? 🚀

I'm so glad to see how far Antetype has evolved over the decade (I've been a user since 2013 (EAP days)). Congrats on this latest chapter. Let's keep going till we get to a full no code builder ;)
Chris Günther
@uelsimon Haha, yeah it's been a exciting road to today 😄 Thanks a lot for the kind words. We'll seen when we get to no code builder 😁
Abby
Looks nice. Breakpoints WOW! Have to try…
Chris Günther
@trakt140 We're kinda proud of them! Let us know what you think 😊

Antetype is an awesome prototyping tool, especially for creating responsive high fidelity prototypes that look, feel and behave like the final product. In contrast to well-known alternatives such as Sketch or Figma, with Antetype prototypes it is possible to carry out usability testing without any limits (e.g. text input). Another benefit is that the prototypes are web-based, making it easy to host (and modify) them anywhere you want. I can definitely recommend Antetype. Give it a try!
Chris Günther
@daniel_lauer Thank you very much for the in-depth details! Best of luck your tests always run smoothly 😊
Kim Salmi
Looks super slick! 🚀 Could you add Antetype client to brew?
Chris Günther
@infr Thanks for the nice words! We'll take a look into it and let you know via Social Media
Lisa Föllinger
I've been using Antetype for quite some years and already loved it back then. With the new features it has overtaken all other design tools by far. The web exports are extremely powerful especially when you work closely with developers. Good luck with the launch! I really hope it reaches a lot of people and simplifies their life as UX Designers!
Chris Günther
@lisa_foellinger Glad to have you on board Lisa! Thanks for the detailed opinion. Hope we live up your bold statement 😁
Eugene Reznik
I remember I tried Antetype back in.. 2013 or 2012 maybe. I love almost everything in the new version except the "Style Inspector" tab UI — it's so tiny I can barely read the labels. Overall I'm glad the guys have finally found a way to move forward👌.
Chris Günther
@reznik_e Yeah, Antetype made quite the journey from the more-or-less-internal tool back then. Great to still have you on board! We're currently looking into a fix for the font that is sometimes small on high resolutions. Hope to fix it soon. Thanks for the kind words and always happy prototyping!
Otman Alami
after finishing the video it's seems to me like a good tool but difficult
Chris Günther
@otman_alami As you can build complex prototypes, it might be a bit intimidating at first. My tip: Learn how to use Antetype in 25 minutes with our tutorial series on YouTube (Search: "Antetype tutorial" or just register and we'll send it to you 5 minutes after registration). It is easy to use after you build your first prototype!
