A GenAI engine within Anima that allows users (developers) to automatically customize the code they produce so it resembles the way they code in terms of conventions.
Anima for Figma: https://link.animaapp.com/3SlLmn2
Hi Hunters!
Today, we’re thrilled to launch our GenAI code personalization✨ A whole new level of design to code workflow!
Anima has over 900k installs on Figma, and during 2023 we generated over 750k code packages - The equivalent of over 1000 years of human coding!
But we can do a better job in making that code fit your style - If you ask 1000 developers, you’ll get 1000 different sets of tech stacks, coding styles, and conventions. One constant feedback we get about Anima’s generated code is that it doesn’t look the same as if they had written it themselves.
How does Anima AI Personalization work?
As always, design starts in Figma.
Then it is pretty straightforward.
Open Anima’s plugin in “Dev Mode” or “Edit Mode” (In Edit mode go to Inspect)
1. Select any Screen, Frame, Component, or Layer.
2. Anima will show you React or HTML code right away.
3. Toggle on AI code personalization, you’ll see 3 options to customize your code:
- Custom instructions – Simply instruct Anima with free text. i.e. “Add SEO meta tags”, or “Use arrow functions”, or
“Add comments”
- Presets – Some requests are common, and you can easily pick one from the menu.
i.e. “Add animations”, “Make it work”, etc.
- Code samples – Sometimes, a sample is easier.
I.e. if you wrap every component in a special way, let Anima learn from your code.
4. After saving, you could run your code online by clicking “Open”, or get it by clicking “Download”.
We value feedback and would love to hear about your experience ❤️ 🙌
As a developer, what do I have to do in order to get Anima to generate code that follows my convention? Is uploading a single snippet of code enough?
Also, for users who are concerned about intellectual property - how does it ensure that our code stays private?
Congratulations on the launch, Anima team 🚀 The more machines can help us code, the better 😀
Thanks @jgani, we're here to help you code faster 😄🙌
1. In terms of how to allow Anima code in your conventions -
You could either give Anima a code sample or use plain text instructions (i.e. naming conventions, syntax or code structure instructions, open source libraries used, etc)
2. In terms of your IP - We're not training on either your code or your design, your IP is safe :)

Absolutely thrilled to hear about your initiative to streamline coding processes. It's fantastic that Anima offers such flexibility in understanding user needs, whether through direct code samples or plain text instructions.
