I've used Airmail for a long time and I liked most of it, but search experience was quite bad. It was slow and results were not as smart. I've migrated to Inbox(via Boxy app) since then, search experience there is superb to other products(fast with suggestions & corrections). I see "Online Search" as one of the new features. How does it work?
Leonardo Chiantini
@nikitakorotaev it use the full Gmail syntax even if you have no messages downloads, and you can create a smart folder of this.

@nikitakorotaev I just tried searching in the new version and I would say it has been improved a lot!
Leonardo Chiantini
@kushsolitary @nikitakorotaev there is space for improvement but overall is quite powerful

@nikitakorotaev I had the same experience with the search but the search is AWESOME now! I'm a lifer now!

@raimonnemar @nikitakorotaev @leonardo_4473 I was waiting for that improvement too! Just updated from the pervious version and yeah, search now seems to work a lot better! Thanks Airmail!

I've got AirMail 2.0 installed from the App Store but there's no update notification for me? Is the update limited to specific regions at all? Thanks.
Joshua Pinter
Never mind, finally showed up!

I've been using Airmail since it was launched and honestly, it's the best email client imo. Although I don't see any update notification for the new version? Is this a paid upgrade? Edit: It's a free update guys! Go get it :D
Doron Adler
@kushsolitary I was wondering the same thing. So, I opened the Mac Appstore and Yay It's a free upgrade ^_^
Leonardo Chiantini
@kushsolitary is a free update for previous users
Kushagra Agarwal
@leonardo_4473 Yeah just updated it. I was logged out of App Store so didn't get the update notification!

@leonardo_4473 I tried downloading the beta version you linked to here and it doesn't get all my messages ... is there something I'm missing here? Or should I just keep waiting and be patient? :)
Leonardo Chiantini
@allnick the initialization is very conservative to avoid throttling, but you can perform most operations already

Was keen to try it out as now attachments can be sent to Evernote. Spent 2 hrs deleting, filing and getting in order but those changes have not synced to google apps. Anyone else have this issue? I've submitted a ticket but wasn't too comforted by this response "I will come up with an update soon. This takes time just because the technical team is not around all the time as they are busy with major updates for Airmail. Thank you for the patience." Tried rebuilding database but there is a difference of around 300 emails :-(

"New – Send Later (Gmail and Exchange)" 🙌 🙌 🙌 🙌 Been using Airmail since 1.0 and it's fantastic. Great to see it's getting better all the time.

I've never been a mail client user but with some recent hunts I am re-considering my position on it. I wish there was a way to 'try' it out before buying these (or even some updated demo/walkthroughs would be nice to see the workflow instead of just seeing a list of features)
Leonardo Chiantini
@sarthakgrover play a bit with, and if you need help use the live chat.

Finally I can see entire emails that extend below the fold. Everyone I know that uses email clients want to see their entire emails, though I could understand the feature of hiding long emails because long emails are probably terrible and the app actually saved me a lot of time. I guess it took 3 major releases to finally give in to what the majority of users wanted: to see the entire email. There's a lot of ways to try to disrupt email, but I feel like they made a mistake in hiding long emails that went below the fold. Glad things have changed. Sarcasm aside, I'd love to know what took so damn long. You'd think displaying emails sits pretty high up on the priority features of the app. Receive / Send emails reliably should encompass the idea of showing the full email. Maybe it was technically hard, especially with HTML email? Anyway, there must be a great reason why.

Looks awesome! Is single-sign on available yet? (sign in with all your accounts once, and then you only need one login to bring them all back on a new computer or iOS)
Leonardo Chiantini
@adamdepasqua no yet and wasnt looking a good idea collecting user credentials when iCloud can sync all them and is supported already.
Adam DePasqua
Good to know. Thanks.

I really loved the look and feel of Airmail fro quite a while. Unfortunately, I found a breaking bug that didn't allow me to send outgoing mail at all. The support team wasn't able to help me at all. Hopefully this update will fix such problems.
Leonardo Chiantini
@pori_alex what service? are you on VPN proxy?
Leonardo Chiantini
@pori_alex may be something with the signature? should work fine. be sure some other apps in snot blocking the SMTP port
Alex Hernandez
@leonardo_4473 The beta version actually works fine. Nylas does too. For whatever reason, my purchased version ceased working. 😬

It appears that even though stuff is synced to iCloud you can't set it up on your phone and connect synced accounts like you used to "http://support.airmailapp.com/po...

My favorite (and in my opinion best) email client for Mac, and iOS too. I searched far and wide for a substitute after Mailbox shutdown. Finally settled on this and it has been great. Now to find a substitute for Sunrise 😔
Lauren L Perfors
@mccauley_jay On Sunrise substitute need: me too! I was super bummed when Sunrise got shut down. I ended up surrendering to the cost of the newest Fantastical for all of my devices. So far it's been pretty good. Can't compare with Sunrise (especially considering how much more expensive it is).

It's minor, but the one feature keeping me on Sparrow is a hot key to hide/show the whole app - so you can quickly press a key, see your email, and press it again to get back to what you were doing. Is there a way to do this with airmail? If so, I can't seem to find it..
Leonardo Chiantini
@cmicali yes you can go in this section http://d.pr/i/1f0O5
@cmicali How have you successfully stayed on Sparrow? I don't think you can even log in with Gmail anymore.
H.Murchison
Setup was really easy. Love the integrations...may buy the iOS app soon. Had issues with Droplr linking ..not sure if that's just me I'll keep my eyes posted. Strange that all of a sudden email clients are hot again. That's a good thing because Apple Mail is a hot mess.
Mike Taylor
I stopped using Airmail when it kept kicking out my Gmail credentials. The same problem happens with Apple's Mail app. It required me to periodically two-step authenticate my credentials. That was with Mav's and/or Yosemite. Anyone else have that problem? Is it fixed?
Leonardo Chiantini
@sea_local it should be fixed on this release
Lauren L Perfors
Super excited to see the new release! The lack of Asana integration is what has kept us away for our Google Apps agency accounts (we've been stuck in web Gmail with extensions). When I tried the Asana add-on, a few things that we need that are still lacking: - Task description only loads in raw HTML/source... that makes for a messy, often unusable task. Could you use a sharing link like MixMax or formatting like IFTTT offers? - Need to be able to assign tasks to Asana users. Otherwise, defeats the purpose of the integration since we then still need to go straight to Asana, load it, find the task, and assign it out. The integration is super cool, and we are looking forward to keeping an eye on it! Thanks for the new version, Airmail team!

Sparrow, Airmail 1, 2 and now 3...not looking back :) Thanks for the joint archive folder...that's a blessing!

Best mac mail client by far. I would love to have email tracking, but other than that, sheer perfection.
Leonardo Chiantini
@davidduckie is something we are working on
André de Albuquerque
@leonardo_4473 @davidduckie Hey! Are you really wotkinh on email tracking? if you guys manage to have that it will be, definetly and for the ages, the best mac email client
Leonardo Chiantini
@andrealbuq94 @davidduckie yes we had this but removed before the release, iOS version already have this.
André de Albuquerque
@leonardo_4473 @davidduckie Will you have it on mac soon?
