Hey Product Hunt, Air co-founder here 👋 About 6 months ago, we released Air on Product Hunt and then immediately kicked off our fundraising process with just 4 months of runway left. In that time, we took 136 meetings with 57 firms. Air's "data room" was a +7,000 word Notion doc. We buckled down on product improvements, rolled out new features, created a new tier for Air, and released over a dozen side projects on Product Hunt. Our preparation was a far cry from poetic and I'm pretty confident I went outside my apartment less than a dozen times. Product Hunt launches and the overwhelming support from this community got us through! Today, we are excited to launch Air 2.0. You will notice some big changes to the product, including: - Support for non-visual file types - Table and gallery view - Improvements to the upload and import experience - Guest and commenter permissions - Password protected links - And more! We have all kinds of users running on Air every day, from larger customers like Clorox, BeautyCon, and Thrillist, to beloved DTC brands like Thursday Boots, Curology, Smalls, and Bev. We want Air to become the go-to collaboration tool for creative folks. And when we say "creative" we don't mean just animators and graphic designers. For all the teams that have relied on Vimeo to privately share video, now you have Air!

Really enjoyed talking to Shane and the team at Air about their product strategy. They put a ton of love into how visual assets are managed and the value is obvious when compared to generic file storage like Dropbox or GDrive. I would love to see integrations with task managers like Asana and chat tools like Slack, and easy ways to export files in different crops and formats for different social networks. It's ambitious to try to unbundle a use case from such ubiquitous products but if you deal with media for a living, you're probably desperate for something better.

Design: 10/10 User Experience: 9/10 Buggy: NAHHHHH Fulfills a need I didn't know I had: 10/10 Amazing product pushing me off DropBox and G Drive. Much cleaner and easier and the collaboration and public viewing features are superb!

Air looks like it’d be a perfect fit for our marketing team. We lose a ton of time trying to track down assets that live across Drive, dropbox and people’s local machines. Super excited to try it out!

Clearly they have put a lot of effort in perfecting the user experience. All the screens and user flows just "make sense" and make working with Air a lot of fun. Highly recommended for anyone who deals with large amounts of visual assets on a regular basis!

Love the product - as someone who worked in the space between product, marketing, and creative, having to ask designers for assets that fit a use case or just where a product is located in our Dropbox is a bottleneck. I substited Air for my team's Dropbox folders divided by editorial shoot setup and search + color/object tagging saved the day.

Air changed the game for our creative, marketing, and social media team! Terrific product.

Air is doing (incredibly well) what so many other DAM products have tried to do, with lackluster results (and questionable UX/UI). Really high on this product in an increasingly important space, and even higher on their amazing team behind the scenes. I'm also doing my best to 'speak into existence' a joint brand campaign with Nike featuring the team in Jordans titled "Air Jordan x Air, Inc." so there's that too.

I cannot believe how easy and intuitive the Air product is. No more endless paging through lists of assets to find what I'm looking for and I'm loving the collaboration tools and privacy controls in the new release. GREAT JOB @shegde and team!!!!
