SOTA SWE is an autonomous software engineer right in your editor. SOTA SWE has access to:

- your terminal for running commands
- can create and edit files
- look at the problems in your code and fix all of them on its own

Hey PH! 👋 I am Sandeep, along with my cofounder @naresh_r we are building SOTA SWE the State of the art AI agent (on swebench-lite) downloadable as an extension in VSCode The promise of this extension is to provide access is to provide the autonomous SWE who can perform end to end complete tasks for you. SOTA SWE on its own can: - use search tools - create new files - edit code inline in the file - run terminal commands (long running and short ones) - understand images This makes SOTA SWE very capable as an engineer and more over when its confused it will ask you for help. It keeps you completely in the loop and never misses a beat. You can use any model you want via OpenRouter or Anthropic (it works best when powered by Sonnet3.5) The best part about using SOTA SWE is how efficient it is. We put in a lot of work to optimize the token use and increase the overall speed. More over, the extension is Open Source. You are free to audit the code and keep in loop with the changes. We honestly as makers are very impressed by the quality of the code generated and the capabilities of SOTA SWE and are excited for everyone to try this out!

@naresh_r @sandeep_pani Great benchmark! SOTA SWE looks powerful. quick one, can it work with the claude 3.5 model from cursor? I’d prefer not to add another API to my workflow. Excited to see how this evolves!

@naresh_r @sandeep_pani @tonyabracadabra Hey @tonyabracadabra ! Thanks a lot. This is packaged as an extension that will work on VSCode or any VSCode-based editor, including Cursor. You are free to use any version of Claude, hosted by either Anthropic or OpenRouter.
