Hello Product Hunt! My name is Juan and I'm the creator/developer of AI Portrait Gen. Last year I started playing with Stable Diffusion and Dreambooth and got hooked on trying to create images of me and my friends that looked as close to real photos as possible. It bothered me that most of the available sites that let you do this produced results that made you look like a 3d render with plastic skin, or not resemble you at all. Moreover, they are usually subscription-based and quite expensive. So I decided to give it a go and started building AI Portrait Gen as a side project. I gathered all the knowledge that I had been using to create good results manually and packaged that workflow, settings, and other configurations into a site that lets you do that easily without having to understand anything about training hyperparameters, steps, prompts, and all the AI technicalities. Of course, this all took waaaay longer than I had originally anticipated (when does it not?) but, after being live for some time and a ton of improvements and bug fixes, I feel that it is now in a good place for a first Product Hunt launch. I know there are still many improvements to be made, so look forward to new launches in the future!
