I'm a big fan of any tool that empowers freelancers / workers in the "gig economy". Activehours is a huge help for these folks, because it allows them to borrow against future earnings, interest and penalty free. I've lived paycheck to paycheck, and I know how difficult and stressful it can be. I've also paid lots and lots of overdraft fees! So this new balance shield feature sounds really cool. Keep up the good work!

Hey Product Hunters! We’re excited to announce a new feature for Activehours, the app helping people get the pay they’ve earned when they want it. The feature is called Balance Shield, and people can use it to avoid overdraft fees. Once enrolled in Balance Shield, if your bank account balance falls below $100, we’ll automatically send $100 of the pay you’ve already earned but haven’t accessed yet. Our goal is to make people’s paychecks smarter by having paychecks go where they’re needed, when they’re needed. Currently, to use the app, you must have an hourly or on demand job and an electronic timesheet. We don’t charge fees or interest.
