I'm happy to announce the launch of my app Actions for Obsidian on iOS, hot on the heels of its macOS sibling! 🚀 It's a companion app for the note-taking powerhouse Obsidian, bringing nearly 40 Obsidian-related actions to Apple's Shortcuts automation tool. As you may be aware, Obsidian boasts a thriving plugin ecosystem. While it offers extensive capabilities for managing notes and data within your vault, I often found it lacking in terms of interaction with the broader macOS environment. Unlike other applications that supported Shortcuts, enabling me to manipulate information as desired, I had to rely on scripts and workarounds to update my notes. To address this, I developed Actions for Obsidian—a mediator between iOS and macOS and my Obsidian vaults. It facilitates seamless handling of notes, folders, and vaults, enabling me to effortlessly incorporate data into my notes and extract it from my vaults. Need to update your current daily note via Shortcuts? No problem. Append or prepend content to a note? Absolutely! Search and replace text within notes? Go ahead! Interested in extracting a Dataview table and exporting it to Numbers?
