acreom is a lightweight Markdown editor with tasks for developers. It's your daily driver for capturing notes, breaking down development tasks, tracking progress and creating a knowledge base.
@sippndipp glad you like it! We always wanted to use software which gives us full data ownership and that we can fully own without being worried about its future. Our free tier represents this philosophy - you can download and use acreom for free without any limitations or lock-in with Local Vaults.
To cover our costs extra features like Sync, Integrations etc. are premium. You can see our full pricing here: https://acreom.com/pricing/
@equiet thank you, I hope you will enjoy using it! acreom is local-first by default, so you can just open your folder of markdown files in acreom. We've also shipped improvements to our Markdown parser so it's compatible with other tools.
thanks for hunting us @__tosh !
Hi everyone, co-founder of acreom here. Today, we're excited to drop the beta badge and introduce acreom 1.0!
acreom is a lightweight markdown editor with tasks helping you to capture your notes, break down large development tasks, track progress and manage your day.
There are many great knowledge bases, project management tools and all-in-one workspaces out there. However, we still feel a need for a tool specifically built for developers to make our lives easier. As a team of engineers we decided to address this need by building a tool we would love using ourselves, individually and later as a team.
This led us to design acreom around the following fundamental principles:
- integrating markdown with tasks and calendar
- capture-first organise-later interface
- designed for keyboard
- local-first with full data ownership
Additionally, integrating Markdown and tasks in a capture-first interface creates a flexibility for variety of use cases while keeping things simple. For example, you can use acreom as a knowledge base or a tech documentation, but also when working on larger development tasks. Simply, take your assigned task into acreom, break it down into subtasks, add context and track progress without any complexity of the traditional project management tools.
1.0 is just a day 1 for us, you can follow our roadmap here:
https://roadmap.acreom.com
You can try it out in your browser without downloading anything.
We would love to know what we can do better.
Looks promising! I see this app is clearly marketed towards developers, which I am not. Would you reccomend it even for people who can't write a single line of code? Will I have trouble using it?
@michal_podesva great question and yes! many of our users are not developers and still enjoy using acreom. The interface is very flexible so you can easily use this as your daily driver for capturing notes and organising your agenda.
Congrats with the launch, Acreom looks wonderful! Can't wait to start using it for my everyday developer life.
By the way, one question, is the sync between devices realtime? 😀
I work as social media specialist and Acreom is great tool that help me pretty much with my task management. especially that i can send my tasks straight to my Google calendar. Its great that you can transform your notes to tasks just with few clicks. Looking forward to new updates and Mobile apps.
