Been trying out Ablo for a few days and it's been wildly impressive so far! The fact that you can talk to anyone in the entire world in any language might sound gimmick-y to some, but it's most definitely not!
I've been having super cool chats with people from South-Africa, Japan, Brasil and beyond without any language barrier as we were just typing in our native language. Now that I think of it, you could potentially teach a language with this app!
Aside from the concept itself, the app is really well made and looks amazing (great job @bregt & @hilmountwit !)
Definitely try out this unique spin on digital social interaction!
You are too kind @nicolasvh 🤟😊We heard the feedback a lot that it could also be used as a way to learn a new language. While Ablo not designed to do that, you’ll definitely learn a word or two of many different languages. Hasta la proxima!
For those wondering what it is, as the product hunt page has no information, you can click through to the home page, which also has no information, but the home page lets you click through to the app store page: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/... which finally tells you what this app is, which seems nifty - it is a pity that it requires 3 different page traversals to figure out what this app is

Congrats to the makers. This truly has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future brings for Ablo. The app in particular is really polished, clean and smooth as butter.
tried to enjoy but men were unmatching at the moment before talking even one word. always finding my nationality (so i have to talk my language?) i cant even add a friend or smth. had a lot of crush dumps. in the middle of conversation, the program failed somehow (maybe becasuse of my phone) and i lost the guy because its impossible to add a friend without paying. I've tried to match someone who is speaking russian and never had that chance. For choosing i also have to pay? The app has a really good potential but i prefer to see some ads rather than this much-bordered, point-missed app
Pros:animations finding the matches too fast
Cons:mostly found from my country, from my language. forcing to pay (really too much) crush dumps
Thanks @hasanhkesen for giving Ablo a go and your feedback 🙌 We have matured Ablo a lot the last couple of months and many of your comments have made it in the app! You can now add friends and the crash rate has improved enormously. Also, as we've grown a lot lately, more and more people from all over the world have joined. You should now definitely be able to find someone not from your own nationality 🌏👋

@bregt hello Sir. I was blocked a few days ago. Ablo sent me a message saying I sent a vulgar word. This is really weird and not truthful because I never use such language even in conversations. Why is it that I/we can’t even know how or where it happened? How can we appeal? I really love your app making friends all over the world.
You should be blocking people who go to your app for other reasons aside from making friends or learning a new language. Hoping for your kind consideration.

Ablo let’s you talk in your preferred language as you make friends around the world while it gameifies the overall experience with badges and rankings.
At first, I chatted with others in my native Greek and the app auto-translated to the other person’s preferred language. (Whoa!) I then followed up with speaking to someone on video while reading subtitles in real time to understand them and that really blew my mind!
This is an easy to use, innovative, and well designed app that will surely motivate people to make their world smaller with friends around the globe. Excited to see how this app will evolve. Great job!

I just re download the app agin, and makes my account double, actually i just sing in like usual, but they blocked my account, what should i do? Can i get my ablo account back? Please

Honestly this app really got me crazy, I was kicked off the flight, despite my appeals to the ablo crew yet the aren't responding, this app is not working

@ahmad_khan7 if you go to your messages, on the top right there is an "Add friends" icon - if you tap that, you're good to go :)
Potentially within our lifetime, language barriers won't exist. But cultural differences are more challenging to translate. How do you think about this, @bregt? We can translate word for word to another language but sometimes the cultural context and meaning gets missing.

Cultural differences are more challenging to translate, absolutely!
Ablo enables everyone to explore these differences. It’s the first step in understanding / translating them. We hope that by removing the language barriers and by providing an effortless way of connecting people from different countries, backgrounds and cultures, it will help people learn more about their differences and ultimately be more open and tolerant towards them.

Basically a breath of fresh air in a very crowded social space where all apps are same-ish.
Pros:- Feel and look of the app. - Unique way of getting to know new people all over the world. - People seem to be very nice and respectful
Cons:- Some people are leaving instantly after saying hi (but don't let that spoil the fun, just hop onto the next destination!)
