I've been using FineScanner for a while, but they launched it with a new feature! Now in just a few seconds you can see all documents from your camera roll and use them for scanning

Nice to see FineScanner is getting better every update.

Pros:

Offline OCR is useful for scanning and sending text to colleagues. Must have for people who travel a lot and suffer from lousy internet.

Cons:

No night mode

@maria_gor Hi! ABBYY Neural Network runs through the photos in the gallery and detects images with text that can be turned into scans. @evgeniya_zaslavskaya Hi Evgeniya! Thanks for the question. If you use Offline OCR, it will take a fraction of a second. Online Conversion usually takes 10-30 seconds per page, depenping on the quality of internet.

@alexandra_shmelkina1 thank you for the question. Yes, of course you can create new scan not only from images in your gallery, but also using FineScanner camera. Just make a photo and FineScanner will remove extra background, improve contract and perspective. After that you can share it in image-only PDF. If you then will send it to online OCR, you can also create searchable PDF.

@alexandra_shmelkina1 Hi Alexandra! This is a tricky question :) Any document kept in the app can be converted to PDF, but first, you need to add it either by taking a photo or upload it from the gallery.

is there an image editor? can I apply a filter to a picture so it would look like a scan, for instance?

@nina_blinova Hi Nina! Yes, you can apply filters (colorful, back and white, grayscale). You will get the same result as if you were using a desktop scanner.
