Communicate with your customers. Often. And taking care of them. No secondary analysis of data from the Internet / words of acquaintances / books will tell you as much about your customers as the customers themselves. It sounds obvious, but many ppl neglect it. The main benefit is that you begin to understand well what your customers think, what they feel and how they use your product. Understanding this is demonically important for the growth of any business. And you can also develop word of mouth and get feedback and comments that 1) otherwise would have remained unspoken, 2) you would not have been able to put on your website, for example

One piece of advice that I would give to a startup founder starting out is to prioritize customer feedback from day one. Engaging with your target audience early on can provide invaluable insights and help you refine your product or service to better meet their needs.
