Interesting point about Elon Musk. What do you dislike about him?
@kissonlin dont really know the guy. So it is not about disliking him. I just dont like decentralization. And the fact that the Cantillon Effect and the debt-based system, allows you to use 10M$ as collateral to make 1B$ dollars and then define yourself a genius. It is a "system" disliking...not a personal thing.
The way everything is becoming a subscription irritates me. Feels like I'll have to start paying a monthly fee just to exist.
The modern Stockholm Syndrome.
What grinds my gears isn’t just the compliance with the system, but the gaslighting masquerading as 'hustle culture.' We’re told to monetize every hobby, optimize every second, and worship billionaire saviors – as if exploiting yourself for scraps of 'success' is enlightenment. Meanwhile, healthcare bankrupts families, education costs a down payment on a spaceship, and housing feels like a subscription service to exist. But sure, let’s blame individuals for buying iPhones instead of questioning why wages haven’t moved since dial-up internet.
The real kicker? The system needs us distracted – binge-watching, doomscrolling, and arguing about which billionaire’s rocket is cooler. It’s not that people stopped thinking for themselves; it’s that the game was rigged to make rebellion feel like a luxury.
Question for the void: When did survival morph into a side hustle?
Totally feel you on this! It's wild how many people just go through the motions without questioning if it's really what they want. The whole "outsourcing your life to the system" thing hits hard—people chasing someone else’s dream or just sticking to what's "safe" without realizing they're trading their one shot at life for temporary comfort.
For me, what gets under my skin is seeing so much potential wasted on chasing superficial stuff. Like, why stress over getting the latest iPhone when you could be building something meaningful or learning a new skill? And don’t even get me started on social media—it's like everyone's living in a highlight reel, pretending everything's perfect while ignoring real issues.
