What are your thoughts on minimalism in design, and do you prefer it over maximalism or vice versa?

This is a really interesting question, Aubrey! Do we truly prefer one over the other, or do we simply adapt to the idea of liking something as design trends, like so much else, go through cycles? I want to say that I prefer minimalism, but I can’t guarantee that my answer wouldn’t have been different if you'd asked me this question back in the early 2000s.
