Are you looking for feedback on UX as well or just primary features? (I think a simple "Start" or "Begin" to start syncing would be helpful. Didn't figure out for a long time that it didn't automatically start syncing). Startup (indexing) does take a massively long time and isn't particularly communicative (mine took 30 mins). I get it that background tasks suck on iOS. I wonder if there's a way to leverage the desktop version of Photos to do the syncing as an option for people with large libraries (which I have to believe by now is everyone who has an iPhone).

@henrus You can run the app on the Mac as well but today you can't sync the index between the two devices.
