Hi everyone!
I've been working for the last three months to start my own SaaS business and finally, I made it. 🙂🙃 Just started to form a team and we're 4 now and we do not expect to grow more than 10 people for the upcoming 6-12 months. It was easy to manage everything until now with WhatsApp groups but I need a team management tool to get everything more organized. I checked a couple of tools but they seem pretty much the same. So do you have any suggestions on which tool to use?
Any suggestion or comment is welcomed. Thanks in advance!

Hey! I'm launching a tool for effective remote team management very soon- www.undiffer.com
With this application, your team would be able to check-in, create goals, add blockers, track time, and do much more to save time and increase productivity!
It will help you to eliminate your daily stand-up meetings thereby creating more time to work and focus better!
Do check out and request an invite for early beta access! :)

@patelnachiket @egeyalcinkaya Thank you! Sure, I'd check it out. Congrats on the launch!
I adopted ProProfs Project(https://www.proprofsproject.com/) about a year ago to manage my software projects. It helps me organize my tasks and track due dates in real-time. It is an easily scalable tool, allowing me to manage my projects and teams in one place.
Its reporting capabilities provide rich insights into team performance and overall project progress. Also, its multiple project views, such as Gantt chart, Kanban board, and Calendar view, help visualize project status on the go.
You can try its 15-day free trial version and see if it suits your team's needs.
All the best!

@masoudfatemi Thanks you very much. After all this time I still think Slack is a little bit confusing to use. But definitely will check Clubhouse!

Team management tools are a bit overrated. There are a lot of useful tools that you can use, even a Google Spreadsheet works pretty well. It all comes to how well you are tracking those tools. You can use the best tool out there — unfortunately I don’t know which — but unless you have a someone who is managing it well, they become obsolete.
Trackabi
Check trackabi.com for project planning and estimates, time tracking, and employee leave management. Other then that stay in touch with your team using Slack, Skype or whatever else you prefer. Create a separate chat group for every project.

@egeyalcinkaya Will check and upvote! :)
Monday, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Hubspot are all very popular ones if you are wanting a feature rich option and depending on your needs for it.

Congrats with this move! Try out Notion. We started with Trello. It was okay at the early stage. Don't forget to apply for perks as cash is the king for every startup ))

@victoria_duben I guess Notion is still an improving app. Trello seemed more stable to me. But thanks a lot for the recommendations. Do you have any perk recommendations?
I think you can try Quire.
It's this free project management software with agile features such as the kanban board, offline syncing, easy collaboration, timeline (gantt chart), priorities, easy collaboration. Requires no subscription fee or upgrades.
Highly recommend!

I don't believe that there's a special tool for remote work. I believe all management tools are already suited for remote work, since it allows you to allocate work without directly seeing each other.

Not for business stuff but for education, I use Notion. It has lovely features for educational use, and I believe that it will work for your team too. By the way, congrats and good luck!

@aleynacatak Thank you very much Aleyna. Heard about Notion, I'll definitely have a look at it.

I haven’t personally used it but had a lot friends who used Monday.com, I guess it is worth checking.

Go simple, just use a spreadsheet.
Trello, easy to use and I love the UX.

Personally I would use Jira and Slack
I like to think of these in a few categories that I think can be important even for small teams. You might find that some tools work across multiple categories. Below are the categories I think about and some examples of products in each.
- Communication. How are you communicating on a daily basis? Support for integration of important message / alerts from your main SaaS tools can be a big help here.
Slack, Microsoft Teams
- Task Management. Many options here that do a lot of different things. A simple spot to start is anything that provides a Kanban board.
Kanban boards:
Trello , Notion , Jira
Tools that do more:
Asana , monday.com
- Knowledge Base. Where do you collect important information so people can find it?
Notion , Confluence, Stack Overflow for Teams
We happen to use:
Communication: Slack
Task Management: Trello / GitHub Projects
Knowledge Base: Notion

@alejandro_cantarero1 That was a great explanation Alejandro, thank you very much. The question is more clear for me. I should be looking for a Kanban board. And I guess will be moving on with Trello.

Instead of paying for multiple products to have communication, documentation and so on, maybe give Jetbrain's new service a try. It's called "Space". It has everything you probably will ever need:

It's very cheap.
Hi Ege :) I'm currently working with some guys on a team management tool. For now we're on beta test phase so it's completely free - firmbee.com
Please don't treat it as a stupid self promotion as the tool is free and I think it's worth to give it a try ;)
I also use Monday in a travel club organisation, seems intuitive - as for a regular user (not manager of a team).

Thank you for the reply @michal_jonca I'll definitely check Firmbee! Also, we launched our app today and we're in today's list as Sertifier. I'd appreciate your comment, review and upvote if you like the app. Btw, we'll be planting trees for each upvote we get during the day 🌳
