@aaronoleary This is absolutely the first thing that gets cut in my schedule. I'll bail on ingredients I have in my fridge for a drive-by Chipotle extraction.
If I had an extra hour a day, I would use it for personal development. This could include a wide range of activities such as reading books, listening to podcasts, engaging in online courses or tutorials, writing in a journal, or working on any other type of self-improvement project. With this extra hour each day, I believe I could make great progress towards achieving my goals and improving myself both mentally and physically. Additionally, I would use the time to reflect on the previous day and plan out the upcoming one. This would help me stay organized and ensure that I am making the most of the time available to me. By dedicating an hour each day to personal growth and development, I believe I could maximize my potential and reach new heights.
Spend more time with my partner and baby girl.
I work long hours on full time job + startup. It's hard but it's the path I chose.
I also try to spend valuable time everyday with my partner and our 8 month old daughter. They are the two most important people in my life.
Therefore, if I had one more waking hour in the day available, it would be to spend it with them.
If I had an extra hour a day, I would use it to prioritize self-care and personal development. This could include activities such as exercise, meditation, reading, or learning a new skill. I believe that taking time for self-improvement and well-being is crucial for maintaining a healthy balance in life and achieving personal and professional goals. By dedicating this extra hour to self-care, I can recharge, refocus, and be better equipped to tackle the challenges of the day ahead.
When I wondered about your question, first thing I realised is that I actually have that hour, or more like two or three, which go by unnoticed, by doing dumb stuff, watching YT, wasting time on social media etc. So your question for me got transformed into: "What is it that I really want to do with my life, that is important enough to lay off small addictions that eat up time".
Anyone else feel the same, that there is more time, actually waaay more time, and that we're just wasting it unconsciously?
Take care of my body - I feel I've been prioritising everything else for a long time now it starts to feel like it is dragging down my overall performance.
If I had an extra hour a day, I would use it for something that brings me joy - reading! Books open up a world of mysterious adventure, powerful emotion and captivating characters. They give me the opportunity to explore concepts that may be far from my own life experience, to gain knowledge on any given topic and to connect with the text in meaningful ways. I love how books can be read again and again; every time I pick one up I can find something new that resonates with me. With an extra hour every day, I'd finally have enough time to get lost between pages and dive deep into stories that bring me so much happiness.
I know exactly what I would do with it! I would use that time to master a new skill. Either cooking something delicious, learning a language, picking up the guitar, or conquering any of the multitude of activities that light my soul on fire. With that extra hour in my day, there is no limit to what wonders I could discover and explore. Nothing gives me more joy than learning something new and challenging myself every single day; that's why this extra hour is so exciting to me!
If I had an extra hour a day to be allocated to one specific purpose, I would use it to learn a new language. I've picked Spanish but I'm flexible if there is a better language out there.
@lydia_cohen hey Lydia, a super simple thing I did to read more was leave phones / laptop out the bedroom and bought a super simple alarm clock. Reading when waking up instead of a bit of scrolling has been incredible. Recommend is possible for you!
