Its simple but hard to do.
Convince your brain that running a machine non-stop for 7 days will yield more production now but cause damage down the line. Better run it for 7 hrs/day.
Rather for coding, code for 4-5 hrs and spend 2-3 hrs brainstorming on the process. Dont straight away open the editor and start coding.
When I get burned out I turn my phone off or take all work apps off until my mental health returns. Easy but surprisingly effective. Keeping work siloed to my computer helps me not carry it around with me all of the time.
I will take a 20-minute walk outside to breathe in some fresh air and connect with nature. Working indoors for extended periods necessitates some outdoor activity to relax both the mind and body.
I hear you, @abigail_phillips2
Burnout isn't limited to coding...it's something that can hit anyone, no matter the field. Avoiding it can be a struggle, and even harder to break free from when it happens. It's all about finding those moments to recharge and make space for yourself, even when it's tough. How do you manage to pull through when you're feeling overwhelmed?
