How many downloads do you get from a PH launch? Our numbers below π
I saw yesterday that Loom.com (which has just been acquired for $1bn) launched on Product Hunt back in 2016 and got 3k downloads in 36hrs.
Weβve been building SigmaOS for nearly 2.5 years now, and have done three launches:
- first launch (SigmaOS) = 2k downloads within the first 24hrs
- second launch (Lazy Search) = 1k downloads within the first 24hrs
- third launch (SigmaOS 1.0) = 4k downloads within the first 24hrs
Would be super interested to hear what results other startups have seen?

Curious to know if you think the day of the launch impacted in some way the traffic and the downloads π€
@alex_fuentes_c it depends what your plan is. weβve found Wednesdays get us the most traffic and it gives us an opportunity to build momentum over the rest of the week to aim for product of the week/month
Congrats! Such an amazing performance. Could you plz share what you have learned from these three launch?
@lucaborreani we put a loooot of time and effort into them! of course not all the downloads come directly from the PH launch, you also get a ripple effect from social media + (sometimes) press
