1. Put emotions aside and try to take the perspective of a third person looking at the situation from the outside. 2. Look for facts and a constructive way of overcoming the fault.

Try to focus in solving the problem that they are mentioning. If they are not being specific about it then just ignore coz people very often are angry with their lives and put that anger in other people, so it's not worth your energy.

I find something really helpful, specifically for users asking for something to be different, is to ask *why* they're asking for that - like what specific problem for themselves are they trying to solve. This becomes super useful for thinking of what you could build to help them.
