Really hard to predict where it goes from here.
As long as you build a product, that is useful and not just using AI for the hype it should be good.
But everything which has AI in the name will have significant advantage atleast for the next 3 months.
It's already starting to fade, you can tell by the number of discussions about AI, the push is just artificial by now, no hype or interest behind it.
Just people late to the party that are trying to push AI products.
@realvladgolub For sure, AI is just getting started, but not for the wider public. Generative AI already feels lazy and cheap. If another GPT-based or any similar product is what we're hyped for, then may the Universe have mercy on us.
It's the time of AI at the moment, However, unless major strides aren't made in this field the hype will die down until the next breakthrough. I remember a time when the metaverse was all the rage in the market, every second product being created was a metaverse of some sort, but because no major breakthroughs were made the hype and popularity died down. With AI the same thing could happen.
AI Popularity is increasing not just cuz of FOMO but it's also on demand. It has already become the new normal and any product built without AI is like building a product without the sign-up page.
I personally think it will continue to rise. My bet is that any workflow you could augment with AI, will be augmented with AI - be that coding, writing, testing, digital arts, etc.
The reason for saying that is that, I'm personally benefitting a ton from it as a founder. Ranging from copy writing to coding small things on the side. I don't see a point in not making use of it. The obvious caveat is that it's not there yet and you can just use it blindly. You should still know what you are doing :-)
I think the hype behind ChatGPT created a chain reaction that spread throughout the whole AI industry. I think the public popularity will begin to decrease however I think companies will continue to develop and implement AI solutions in their systems.
Let me know what you think!
I think the use of AI will continue to grow exponentially. what that means though is AI won't be the fucus or buzzword, it will just be something we take for granted.
Once people realize that growth in the AI field is NOT linear, then the hype will finally die down. It might seem like growth is linear or even exponential, but the last month was an anomaly.
Before we discover an architecture better than the transformer (which will be a while), growth will be very logarithmic. Most work in the field will just be applying the transformer to real tasks and problems.
I also project that the transformer, just like the internet, will see a hype bubble, pop, and come back.
To be frank, I don't think we've seen AI being that popular apart from the internet bubble that we all are!
It will be more popular, I feel like we're at similar time when social media apps just started to become popular.
AI's popularity will only grow from here! We'll soon have robots delivering pizzas and self-driving shoes that take us to work. The possibilities are endless🤖🚀
I think even though AI is being talked about a lot, its adoption at workplaces hasn't started much.
The adoption will only increase with time.
I think AI is going to be as prevalent as eCommerce is, in the next 5 years.
I'm using it on a day-to-day basis and it's amazing how it improves my work.
The problem is the random YouTubers/Influencers that make money not from AI, but from making videos about making quick money with AI.
At some point, people realize that they actually have to work, and use AI, but it won't do everything automatically. And when it does become fully autonomous, it won't be easy to make quick money form it also.
