Pre-launch Dashboard

We have an all new pre-launch dashboard to help manage your scheduled launches. As soon as you schedule your launch, which you should always do, you'll land on the new dashboard. It gives you a centralized place to check the status of your launch, quickly make any changes you need to, and see helpful tips about what to include to have a successful launch! Shoutouts Update

Shoutouts continue to be an incredible way to see which products and tools are being used by our community. It also gives Makers a way to show off their launches in even more places! When you shout out a product, your launch will actually be shown on that product's hub.

While we previously limited Shoutouts to just 3, the sky is now the limit! We want to hear about every product you've used to bring your idea to life.

Additionally, we now have categories to help you shout out the products you're looking for! And if you don't find what you're looking for, you can always add it yourself.

Launch Assistant

Launching on Product Hunt is now even easier. After submitting the main URL of your product, our new launch assistant will automatically pull in data and pre-fill the title, tagline, links, topics, and even images. You can make any edits you'd like to from there, but it gives you a pawesome starting point!

I noticed that the launch dashboard now includes an option to request a pre-launch review for your product on ProductHunt. However, even after the product is reviewed, there are no visible notes about any issues or feedback. So, what's the point of the review button? Anyhow I still like the new dashboard layout, quite clean.

Hi Sidra (@iamsidra), yes, some feedback either manual or templated will be good. However, the review button now allows Makers to request the review when they feel the launch post is ready.

@iamsidra the review button lets the moderation team know your launch is ready to review to potentially be featured. We will sometimes give other feedback but due to the volume of launches we aren’t always able to give feedback.

@rajiv_ayyangar Yes, I get that the button is there to let the team know. Still, my point is if a maker has submitted his product for review and something is missing or there are any other issues with the product, adding general one-liner feedback will be very helpful after it is reviewed. And Yes, I am not talking about the featured or not-featured feedback. I also tested the launch assistant, one of the best updates you have added. It is a great addition to the platform. Thank You for both of these updates!

@rohanrecommends I agree; without feedback, the button does not make much sense. Or maybe I am expecting much, but that's just a suggestion.

Hi Rajiv (@rajiv_ayyangar) I wanted to give a quick shoutout (pun intended!) for the recent changes to the shoutout box and the introduction of Launch Assistant. :D I noticed the reduced size of the shoutout box; it is a great improvement. It frees up valuable screen space without sacrificing functionality. Launch Assistant is super useful, especially for Hunters! Now we can just hunt the product with pre-filled data and the Makers team would have an option to make desired edits at their pace before final submission to the mod team. Product visibility on the product hub through shoutouts is fantastic for additional exposure. I'll be sending a separate, private note with some additional thoughts on the shoutout feature and the pre-launch dashboard. I'm excited! Thank you for the updates! :)
