Hello everyone, Every week I spend some looking for Product Requests on twitter so, I've decided to start a newsletter to share my findings weekly Here's the page http://requestforproduct.xyz/ I'd love to know what you think and what's missing.
Gonçalo Henriques
@aleix_ramon Thanks. Any suggestions?
Sam Abrika
@gonelf It's very simple landing page. I think you can fine the layout to make it sexier but not such a big deal. Also for people who don't are not familiar with PH, you could define what's "product request".

@gonelf Here are few feedback points from me: - http:// should redirect to https:// these days automatically (especially if people enter their personal data on your page); - subscription confirmation has landed in my spam folder (have you confirmed the email domain with Mailchimp?) - as you are processing personal data (emails, for marketing-like purposes), you want to have a privacy policy on the website, and have people explicitly accept it And a question: What are your plans for business model / monetisation?
Gonçalo Henriques
@samabrika1 Yeh, I have just been hacking the page to test the concept but it can look a lot better. Sure I'll think of a funny way to explain what a product request is, do you have any suggestion on that? Thanks for your feedback and suggestions.
Gonçalo Henriques
@ilonacodes Thanks for taking the time to have a look on my page, really appreciated. Regarding your points. 1. Https for personal data: make total sense, I'll look into it 2. I don't remember confirming the domain in Mailchimp, I'll check. 3. Do you know any privacy policy service that I can use? Regarding monetization, it's still not clear for me how it could be, It can grow to an idea/product request board where companies can pay to have feedback. Do you have any suggestions for that?

Hi everyone, I created an upcoming page here: https://www.producthunt.com/upco... and will launch it soon on PH. Career Leagues connects two groups: 1. Experts who are employees at in-demand jobs to launch online programs similar to ones Lambda School offers to upskill, train, and mentors others who are interested in entering or advancing in similar jobs. 2. People who want to advance their careers and boost their salaries can find a mentor and be part of a cohort who work towards becoming qualified to get hired for specific jobs. We are now accepting both experts and students. Our first program is for Data Science and Machine Learning careers. Please let me know what you think and subscribe to the upcoming page if you belong to one of these above groups so I can update you on our progress.

Hi everyone. Made a tool for designers and color lovers alike to be able to view colors in the real world around them in hex code. Launched on PH a few days back - Litur Currently looking for more ways to improve the product and add more offerings. Would appreciate any and all feedback. Cheers!

Hello everyone, I am doing final preparations to launch https://css.gg in PH https://css.gg is a pure css icon library which you can download icon as css , API endpoint , NPM package or even copy the style directly from icon page. I would like to know your feedback on design, performance, ease of use also the options provided for the developers such as API & NPM and GIT. Also what should I do to rock the launch here at PH. I am on GMT+1 , does that really matter when I post the product ? Thank you.

Hey @abadesi, thanks for this great post and opportunity to share and give back. I'm currently working on "Punkt" a one-sentence journaling app. I just put the landing page live https://punktapp.me and want to evaluate if there is enough interest in such an app. I'm journaling in a Google Sheet and now want to bring this to an app. Would love to hear the feedback of PH users 🙌

@abadesi @ipgregor This looks cool. Just signed up :)

My goal with the highest priority for this week is to get at least 100 responses for The Maker Report (https://themakerreport.com/) So if you are a digital maker / indie hacker / developer yourself, you can help with your answers to reach this goal 🙏🏻 Oh, and I'm a bit behind with my presents for Christmas, so this is going to be a busy week 😅 Last-minute, environment-friendly present ideas are more than welcome.
Aleix Ramon
Hi @feriforgacs, done! Looking forward to see the results of your report.
Ferenc Forgacs
@astrit thank you Astriti! Can you send me a screenshot about this language issue? You can restart the survey again, it won't affect the results. Thanks.
Gonçalo Henriques
@feriforgacs Done and tweeted. Good luck.
Ferenc Forgacs
@gonelf thank you, extra thanks for the tweet! :)

I recently launched a #nocode tool using Glide I joined an organic Whatsapp group quickly reached the 256 limit and we are all African diaspora going to Ghana in December. I could see so many people sharing their services and I could easily see that messages were getting lost. I decided to build this no-code tool to help people navigate all the service providers. Feedback has been great, I'll be shipping more in 2020 http://bit.ly/2PctU4V

I’m building a tool to help teams achieve their goals through easy goal tracking and performance management. 👉 https://wangll.co I'd really appreciate feedback on how well the landing page is communicating this, and also if you are in a team struggling with alignment, sign up and I'd love to help solve that with Wangll. Thanks! 🙏🏾
Michael Aubry
@tabansi Looks cool but I am not sure why I should sign up. There are a lot of promises but personally as a user I'd like to see an example. Just my 2 cents. Great work though I bet most of the effort is spent on the app itself. I do like the design, it looks good and flows well. Would be killer with some product demos or abstract visual examples of how it works and why I should use it. :)
Joshua Tabansi
@michael_joseph_aubry You’re right, I'm knee-deep in building it right now. I'd get some product screen shots up as they come. Thanks a lot!
Gregor Pichler
@tabansi Website looks cool. From a UI perspective you could try to change the yellow color in your illustrations to your purple accent color that you are using on the rest of the website. This might make it look cleaner. I would also show a screenshot or demo video of the app itself. Showing the product will give visitors a clearer picture.
Joshua Tabansi
@ipgregor Thanks a lot! I'll try out changing the accent colour. You're right about the screenshots, I'm working on those now.
Una Vidaković
@tabansi I like the idea but I would like to see some sneak peak and examples. Your website is telling me that your product will help me but not how it will do it. I hope that by submitting my email I will get a chance to try it out even if it's still in beta. I have tried similar products before but I never really started using any as they would require a lot of work to set up, they cost a lot of money or they are complicated to use. I would like to see how Wangll compares to other :)

👋 My goal for this week is to get on the phone with 5 content creators looking to make videos and learn how the video creation process can be better. (https://calendly.com/storycreato...) I have a list of to-do items to make the product better. Helping test these items to make sure I have the most concise list before launch is another major goal. So having a third party perspective (beta testers) will help me with this tremendously. (https://storycreatorapp.com/) This applies to start up founders that need video / digital agencies / advertisers / marketers / podcasters. Thanks
Faraaz Nishtar
@michael_joseph_aubry Love StoryCreator. Keep up the grind brotha 🏋️‍♂️

@faraaznishtar Thanks dude. Congrats with your recent launch producthunt.com/posts/waitwho-is

Hello makers, today i have launched a very simple voice recording web app (https://audiotools.app) . If you are recording a narration this tool embraces fumbles and mistakes, you just need to pause and resume to retake, once done just trim the audio sections and download the final output. This tool lays out audio sections vertically to easily navigate the recorded audio. You can see this 30 sec video to understand the flow. (https://youtu.be/t0MXxmU23MA) Would love to know what you think. PS: Works on Android chrome, Desktop Chrome and Firefox. (iOS not supported)
Soe
@atul_shukla It's so simple and to the point. Nice!

I just launched https://gradienta.io another CSS gradients collection by the way. But this time it's different. I used multi-layered gradient with some blend mode techniques to get a decent look for backgrounds. They are colorful and pretty lightweight because of CSS. I have plans to extend it further, but need some help from the fellow makers. Let me know how it looks, how you would use and what you want beyond this.

@hrishikesh1990 It's great! I've subscribed. I have just started my first job and it's a remote job. Since I am still a student (I am also a remote student, not going to lectures but going to University to take exams) I've been struggling with organization. Every day I need to find time for work and for studies and I am not the best in organizing my time. I love that you are finding and sharing tools that can help me with that. At this moment my biggest challenge is explaining to friend and family that my work our are flexible but still I sometimes have to set aside time for work and if I don't make a strict plan I will quickly fall behind. I am looking forward to Friday note :D
Hrishikesh Pardeshi
@una_vidakovic Hey Una, so glad to hear from you! Congrats on the job and it's amazing to know that it's remote :) Ah! yes, explaining what flexibility truly means can be tough to your friends and family. I am hoping some of our posts will help you in your remote work journey! I would be sending out the mail today and I look forward to hear your thoughts on it :)

Hello guys, I’m working on visual sitemap builder Octopus.do and wanted to share a little experiment we made with our landing page. Our goal was to make the tool accessible for users as fast as possible. Since MVP version there was no landing page or signup form — people could start creating sitemaps from the first screen. As the project grew up we faced common things like you have to onboard new users, make a transparent pricing page and optimize the site for search engines. All that pushed us to create a separate landing page. But we decided to switch their sides and make a landing page inside our tool. By default, you’ll see a welcome pop-up with main landing page sections, which you can simply close and start working with Octopus. Users find it useful and search engines are happy with it. You can check it out https://octopus.do Please tell me what you think.

I'm looking for some quick beta testing help from some people living in Europe. I recently returned from a trip to Italy. While I was there, I noticed some issues with timezone changes in our travel app. I'm back in the US now so I can't fully test the fixes. If you could spare some time, I can send account information and some steps to follow to make sure this is working now. The Duckwyn Project - https://www.duckwyn.com Thank you for your help! -Chris
Gonçalo Henriques
@cwills I'm in Lisbon, Portugal so, let me know if I can help.
Chris Wills
@gonelf Thank you!! I really appreciate the help. You can get a free account here - https://app.duckwyn.com/beta - or, if there is another way to contact you, I can send you a username and password. This is a mobile app so you'll want to login from your phone. Once logged in (make sure you allow location access when prompted), if you could try to add a journal entry that would be great. You can do this by clicking the notebook icon at the top center of the screen. Then click on "write a note". When I tried doing this in Italy, the note would not submit because of a timezone conflict. Hopefully this is working correctly now :) Thanks again! -Chris
Una Vidaković
@cwills Hi, I am in Belgrade, Serbia. I've tried following the instructions you gave to @gonelf but I am not seeing the notebook icon. If you can provide me with additional instructions I would love to help you.

@una_vidakovic - Thank you so much for testing this. Can you compare the icon highlighted at this link to what you're seeing? https://www.duckwyn.com/getting-... You should have an icon appearing at the top center of the screen.

My main focus in December 2019 is to complete a new project that will teach small business owners how to optimize your website for search engines which is a project I'm very passionate about. It's live now and I need 100 users to test it out during the month of December 2019-January 2020. I have 2 modules ready and a new module is released every Friday.
Soe
I'm hoping to launch by Christmas. In the mean time, I was hoping you could check out my landing page (https://fensapp.com) and give me some feedback. Appreciate your help.
Gonçalo Henriques
@soelost how does this work? Do you set your profile and someone can tag you as a partner or do you set your and your partners profiles? It's not clear in the page how it works. Maybe you could have a step by step on how it works. I hope it helps.
Soe
@gonelf Thanks for asking! You'd set up your profile and you'd tag your partner. If they don't have an account, you'd invite them which would create a placeholder account. Even if your partner doesn't sign up, their other partners can also tag this placeholder, which allows your partners risk to be scored and also facilitate exposure alerts between strangers with common partners. I hope that helped. The landing page I have up took me long enough so I'm not sure how or where to put this information and whether I should put it in place of other things or in addition to.
Gonçalo Henriques
@soelost maybe you could make a short video explaining what you just explained to me because now it is very clear. You could place this video where you have the first image. I hope it helps.
Soe
@gonelf I thought of putting a video there but didn't know what kind so thanks. Can you check once more and let me know if the how it works link does a good job for now?
Gonçalo Henriques
@soelost It's better but I think it would make much sense to have that "how it works" in the main page, right below the "features" block. Why should I go to another page to understand how it works? That's what will convince me to join IMO
Una Vidaković
Hi hunters, I am part of Jexia (jexia.com) and I would like to hear your opinions. Also, @abedesi thank you for creating this post! WebDataRocks Pivot Table
Hi makers! Our team has just launched WebDataRocks Pivot Table on Product Hunt! 📝 WebDataRocks is a free JavaScript pivot table. It's designed for data analysts and everyone who works with data on a daily basis. At the same time, it offers a lot of features for the seamless integration of a tool into any app by developers. What does it do ❓ WebDataRocks Pivot does what is expected from the pivot table and even more: it processes your data and provides features for summarizing, filtering, sorting, highlighting data. Everything can be done in a drag-and-drop manner. What problem are we solving and why? 💡 Reporting is often associated with stress. We wanted to change it. Reporting should be an easy and pleasant experience. The reporting tool should help you focus on finding trends in your data rather than on figuring out how to technically accomplish the goal. It's our first launch on PH so we'd be glad to receive as much feedback as possible! https://www.producthunt.com/post... 👈 You are welcome to try creating interactive reports! Our tool is free and always will be such :)
