I've recently become a fan. You transfer money to Revolut card, and wherever you travel you, when you pay with the card, they convert currency at the interbank exchange rates and take 0 fees for that. My bank charges 3% transaction fee if I pay in a different currency other than GBP. You can also use it for online payments as well. It is available worldwide.

I've been using Revolut for few months already - great for traveling. I hope they will make contactless (+ Apple Pay compatible) cards soon.

I ordered my card 4 months ago but never received it. Referred several friends and also never got the 5 pounds referral gift except once. Tried loading my card and was not able to as their customer service said there are so many countries that you can't load your card from. Great idea. Love it but execution is not that well. But must admit the UI/UX is great!

Signed up for this recently before a trip to Germany. I changed my pin from the default a week or so before I left, went to pay for something in Germany and the pin was declined. Messaged support and after a *very* slow reply, was told that everything was fine. Went to pay again, tried the pin a couple more times and the card was blocked. Incredibly unreliable service and I don't plan on using the card again. I like the idea but it seems that actual usability of the card is hit and miss so I wouldn't recommend taking it as abroad as your only method of payment (which luckily I didn't).

I've had trouble making payments and doing ATM withdrawals in Asia. Their customer support is nightmarish. Try them out, but don't rely on their product to have your back when you need it most..

Used the card in Sri Lanka and Maldives as a test. Worked perfectly and used the same exchange rate that Google offered. No fees.

I changed my phone number and I'm not able to access my Revolut account. I've reached to Revolut 7 times in the past 24hrs. Every single customer serv. rep keeps asking me for the same information I've provided 7 different times. They're not proactive and if you're stranded, you're pretty much out of luck because they will not reply. If they do, they frustrate you by asking questions you've already answered. In Revolut 2.0, you cannot see messages sent from the team. (This is for Android). The UX should include "receive password via email"

Do not use this service. They make costly changes to charges with zero notice. The first you heart about a change is when you log into the app. As an early adopter I can testify to the seriously crap customer service. I'm getting everyone I recommended this to off the service.

@paul__walsh Sorry to hear about your experience. We really appreciate any feedback, and would love to hear your thoughts on how we may improve the service. Regarding our fair usage policy, we have tried to be as transparent as possible. Several of the services we offer cost us severely, and therefore we have a fair usage policy in place on two specific services, ATM withdrawals, and USD debit card top-ups. The great thing is, for both of these services there is a FREE unlimited alternative, 1. Card spending is unlimited at the best rates in over 90 currencies, and 2. For loading/topping up in USD you can use a bank transfer - which again, we do not limit or charge for. Any other questions, feel free to reach out directly. Cheers!

Due to a bug in their chat software, it is impossible to get an account. A conversation ensued over Twitter in which they absolutely flatly refuse to call or be called. Transferwise and Centtrip don't seem to have any problem providing a customer support number.

Revolut customer service is awful. They are so slow to respond. If you are on holiday make sure you have a back up bank card. Don't expect Revolut to jump into action in an emergency, even if you are a premium account holder. Other than that they ok. But I will always keep a high street account for my deposits.
