Why is it so hard for founders to balance building a product and marketing at the same time? 🤔

As a founder, we all wear many hats like—product development, team management, customer support, designer and, of course, marketing. While building demands deep focus and creativity, marketing requires a completely different mindset: outreach, storytelling, and constant engagement. (believe me I’m telling with my experience)
It’s not just about time; it’s about context switching ( and mind switching) which can drain your energy and dilute your efforts.
How do you manage this balance? Or is it even possible to do both well at the same time? Let’s discuss! 🤝🏼

Mornings for making, afternoons for marketing is a solid approach! 💪 Another option is to dedicate certain days to each - like product Mon/Wed/Fri and marketing Tue/Thu. Batching similar tasks helps me get in the right headspace. And agreed, the simultaneous juggling act is a recipe for burnout. 🥵 Gotta protect that founder energy! ⚡

I find it tough to switch between the intense focus required for developing the product and the outward-facing tasks of marketing. It feels like two completely different mindsets, and I end up getting stretched too thin trying to balance both.
Bro in my opinion sometimes, focusing on one Nbad balance check
area at a time might yield better results. Let’s hear how others tackle this.
