Four-day work week is actually very effective in a number of ways. Firstly, the way the productivity of today is measured is flawed. The amount of hours you spend at your job has nothing to do with your productivity. Everyone is different and needs different amount of rest. It is called circadian rhythm and is a natural phenomenon for everyone to wake up, go to sleep and feel energetic at a particular time. A four-day work week can help you accommodate your circadian rhythm. Secondly, a four-day work week can actually save the company money.

I've not tried it but my brother works at one of the ones that recently tested in the UK and says it's great. Productivity went way up and the employees felt much better. I'd love to try it out someday!

I believe it really depends on the person. To me, as long as the expected job is finished, it doesn't matter if you work 40 hours in the week or 20.
