I’d build with WordPress, but only because I know it and have been using it for close to 20 years. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone new though unfortunately. It’s much easier to start with Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace and countless others that won’t require as much commitment and tinkering.

Tried both, honestly, I would still choose WordPress on any given day even though it's not that great because Webflow is a hassle; It's promoted as a tool for marketers but it's far from that; it's more like a domino effect in there, if you touch one thing, the rest will fall apart (:

Webflow unless you have a dedicated web developer that can spend a significant chunk of their time managing the website.
We used to work with Wordpress but dropped it a little over a year ago for Webflow. I'm a more T-shaped marketer and managing our website with Webflow is a better user experience for me, the website looks better, better page speed and less issues with having to deal with external freelancers and plugins breaking constantly.
In terms of SEO you have to hack it a bit (mainly no-follow links and some rich data information) but overall much less work compared to doing everything in Wordpress in my opinion, our organic traffic has also 6x'ed since making the change. I worked with Yoast for 2 years so know their rules by heart so our content is usually following all their reccos as well.
If you need straight forward then Webflow and if you need highly customizable then WordPress.

@vdelitz good question! my $0.02:
on one hand, you want to iterate fast on your website, build landing pages, publish blog posts, edit and update them quickly.
on the other hand, you're building a dev tool. your website is a showcase of your product.
so, I'd probably opt for Next.js, and would make sure that the marketing team really owns the website.
also, GitHub is a great CMS imho :)

@felix_f_tao I think framer is a better option for websites that are basic landing pages.

Hands down Webflow to develop for serious clients. Wordpress just lacks from a speed and UX POV without knowing complex code,…even if you use Divi it is still very slow compared to Webflow. You can achieve very cool stuff with Webflow that would take 5x even 10x longer (at least for me) in Wordpress.
It also depends on your skills with the tool. Framer can be easier for people who do not understand how web layout works because it is geared for designers familiar with Figma. I learned Webflow very quickly after I left Wordpress and have never looked back. Check out the Webflow University, it is the best training and has comedic relief added so it is easy to follow.
