Let's hear everyone's opinion. How many of us on Product Hunt have thought about applying to YC? If you thought about it and then decided not to, why? If you're one of the few that applied and got accepted, how big of a difference does it make?

I have heard polarising opinions so I guess it depends on which market you're building in and what you're expectation is from YC.

@uma_venugopal hmm SaaS for me. Iā€™m assuming they work best for that?

@aignise Haven't heard good things for b2b saas as most alumni and portfolio teams already have competitive deals flowing into their mailbox. If you're not targeting b2b finding other useful resources may be worth it via YC(disclaimer: these are just from what I've heard founders graduating YC talk about, I personally haven't been through YC).

@uma_venugopal that makes a lot of sense Uma. Definitely worth looking more into that. Thanks!

I guess it's very difficult there to get sufficient upvotes, however, if a link gets a good amount of upvotes, I guess they'll give a follow link to it and since their DA is very high, it can be very beneficial for the product in terms of SEO.

If you are interested in hearing opinions from the Product Hunt community regarding their thoughts on applying to YC, I recommend posting your question on the net worth Product Hunt platform itself. This way, you can engage with the community members who have relevant experiences and perspectives on YC applications.
