Hi hunters! How are you doing with goal setting? I can't set a 'long term goal' or 'vision' for the life of me. I set microgoals for the day, for the week, for the month, and an intention for the year, but beyond that it's all hazy. What's working for you? What's your goal mechanism? Feel free to share and share your goals too!

People overestimate what they can do in a year, and underestimate what they can do in 10 years

Hey! Yes, I try to think about where I want to be in 5 years from now and think about my mission and vision as a Growth Marketing Specialist for startups. From there, I try to go backwards and understand what things will get me closer.

I set short term goals. I mean, of course, I have long term goal, but the goals that I stick with everyday are short term goals though~

Absolutely! Setting goals is essential for achieving success in any endeavor. As a cofounder in an edtech application, we encourage all users, including hunters, to set clear and achievable goals to enhance their learning experience and track their progress effectively.
I'm good at setting long term goals and do it by deciding what's really important to me, though I'm not so great on setting monthly / weekly goals

hey there mate! it's totally okay if long-term visions feel fuzzy, life's unpredictable nature often makes them so. i too find value in setting daily, weekly, and monthly goals. remember, goals are personal and what works for one might not for another. however, i've found one practice particularly helpful: 'theme-based goal setting'. instead of setting a concrete goal for a year or beyond, choose a theme you want to explore. this could be a new skill, a mindset shift, or an area of personal growth. for instance, your theme could be 'courage'. this can manifest in different ways - taking on bigger projects, voicing opinions more boldly, trying new experiences. it's less about a single measurable outcome and more about an overarching direction. this way, you're still making meaningful progress, but with flexibility to adapt and evolve as life unfolds. remember, the path matters more than the destination. it's the journey, the learning, the growth that adds value. hope this helps! 🙏

@shajedulkarim_ Thanks for your beautiful advice mate! Much appreciated. Theme based goals sound like a great idea.

Yes, so I can determine whether or not we are making progress.
