How do you handle 2 startups simultaneously?

Hi. 👋 I've been self employed for a decade now, and I have had hobbies on the side, but I have not had to work two "startups" simultaneously... I more or less casually worked on a new side-project. About 1yr ago (2022), after about 5yrs, our main client decided to complete development; we knew the day was coming, so we started a 2nd startup. Ha! Now, for the first time in my career, I'm probably going to work for another startup while I continue working on the project I started 1yr ago. Does anyone have experience with this? How do you balance this with time for life, and sleep? 🫠 Thanks all!

no sleep for the wicked! I think you should focus on one TBH. Bandwidth is a scarce commodity. And really the only unfair advantage you have in this game. Speed and focus. divide that in 2 and your competition will crush you. We are all fighting for the same customers, investors, attention. Also forget life work balance. Think life work integration. integrate life around your work. it works. But it has some things you have to sacrifice. And normies will reject you for it.

Most people will tell you to focus on one, but its doable with two. Depends on what role you have in both startups. Marketing - absolutely possible, most marketing is positioning and leverage, small investments in beginning will yield great results. Founder - try to complement the startups, find a way for users of one platform to find your other one. The way google and youtube work... lol

If they are selling to the same audience you can cross sell to get more out of your marketing efforts.
