High upvote but not getting featured - are upvotes not relevant anymore?

I have launched a product today and even though we got 70+ upvotes, I am not able to get featured. So, wondering what the formula is for getting featured. Has Product Hunt has gone editorial? Besides, it's become more difficult to rank these days, given the number of link farms doing the rounds. I have seen products getting 50+ upvotes in just 10-15 minutes. What am I missing?
