As AI technology advances, its potential threats and ethical dilemmas become more pressing. From job displacement to privacy concerns and decision-making biases, the risks are vast. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on how we can mitigate these threats while still advancing AI technology. What measures should be taken to ensure a safe integration of AI into society?

Answering your title question: No. And it would be impossible given the rapid spread of AI. In my opinion, as we organize ourselves within slow-paced and bureaucratic structures, known as states, with laws and regulations, we will never be fully prepared. It seems that this AI revolution is far more significant than the internet was in the mid-90s. We are already in 2024 and still discussing the best ways to regulate the internet (addressing issues like fake news and frauds, etc.). So, can you imagine what it will be like with AI? I can't. We must rethink and restructure the pillars of our society to adapt to cutting-edge technology, or we risk descending into deep chaos.

@vitor_seabra damn man that was brutal and was definitely one of the most honest opinions i've ever read out there on the internet, I hate when people sugar coat their opinions and saying nothing will happen, this or that, still selling PHP / Laravel / Firebase etc. courses by saying you'll definitely get a job, this is happening in India atleast, these facts you're saying needs to be amplified

I think people need a clearer understanding of how AI is developed and used. There is a lot of panic around it, both because people think it is unethically trained and because some are afraid of some kind of machine revolution. Information on what it is and how it works should be clear and understandable for the general population. There also need to be guidelines on how AI can be used, as well as some kind of support for people who will lose their jobs because of it. It is not a new thing for people to become unemployed when new technologies appear, and we need to have solutions for it, because it has been happening for hundreds of years. It's not specifically an AI problem. By the way, we've launched our app today, which doesn't really use AI, for a change 😂 We would be glad to get your support! 👇 producthunt.com/posts/steerer
